OSRS Best PK Builds With PK Gear Setups For PvP & BH

OSRS Best PK Builds With PK Gear Setups For PvP & BH

Today we'll see which of our PK Build guides is the best by comparing them side-by-side, creating a top 7 ranking of PK build accounts. The score will be determined based on the versatility of an account with its stats and how restricted it is from using other weapons. Some accounts might be very good, but like everything in life, they have their pros and cons.

I believe the account with the highest score should be the one that offers the most versatility and fun to use, since it's not about using the same gear and/or method over and over again, which can become repetitive, but about having a good time in PvP, Wilderness, or Bounty Hunter with the highest probability of defeating your opponents.

Let's begin:

1. The Piety Med Level (Combat Level ~100-110)

Some choose to leave Attack at 60 to use Dragon Claws and Dragon Daggers, but in this build, we'll focus on 75, as this will allow us to use the maximum number of Special weapons possible and achieve better results in PvP.

Your target stats for this account build should look exactly like this:

  • Attack: 75
  • Strength: 99
  • Defence: 75
  • Ranged: 99
  • Prayer: 70-77
  • Magic: 99 (for Ice Barrage, Vengeance, and Fire Surges)

If you need a guide on how to create a Piety Account From Scratch, we have the most optimal way to do it.

Why it’s Rank 1: We're going to put this account in the number 1 tier because it's a mid-level combat account that can still use weapons and gear like maxed-out players, while still allowing it to fight against zerkers and even some pures, not to mention some mid-level combat players, who almost always bring juicy loot. Because of this, and the versatility of weapons it allows you to use, it's fun. The high KO potential, due to its low defense level plus Vengeance, makes it a lethal account to fight against.

2. The Ranged Tank (Combat Level ~90-100)

This account sacrifices strength and attack power to maximize ranged attacks, defense, and magic, making it a kind of powerhouse that ultimately hits harder than many melee builds. Not to mention, landing a combo against it requires a lot of luck with RNG, as your defense and armor make it incredibly difficult for others to land decent hits. This can be both a blessing and a curse, as many may choose not to fight you, though I'm sure there will always be those willing to take you on.

Your target stats for this account build should look exactly like this:

  • Ranged: 99 (Your primary source of damage).
  • Magic: 94+ (Essential for Vengeance).
  • Prayer: 77 (Unlocks Rigour)
  • Defence: 75 (For tank gear like Elysian or Armadyl)
  • Attack/Strength: Quest-only (~40–50). Do not train these manually!
  • Hard Western Diary
  • Ava's assembler
  • Money Madness 2
  • Dragon Slayer 2

Why it’s Rank 2: This account is ranked number 2 because, as mentioned before, it's one of the hardest accounts to hit and therefore to kill. To have high defense, you need to wear expensive armor, which means that if you die, you'll lose a lot of GP, but the probability is still very low. It's recommended to practice first with less risk to learn the mechanics of this unique build and then exploit the bug against others.

3. The Initiate/Vesta Pure (Combat Level ~85)

Training 20 Defence opens up a completely new style of PKing, gear, new opponents, and, of course, more fun when PKing.

Your target stats for this account build should look exactly like this:

  • Ranged: 99 (Your primary source of damage).
  • Strength: 99 (Ideal for your Special Attack Potential KO weapons)
  • Attack: 50 (Enough for Barrelchest Anchor and Granite Maul)
  • Defence: 20 (Train this with quests only)
  • Prayer: 31-55 (for Smite and preserve)
  • Magic: 85+ (Essential for Greater Corruption and Mark of Darkness)
  • The Great Brain Robbery (Barrelchest anchor)
  • A Kingdom Divided (unlocks Arceuus Spellbook)

Setting up an account from scratch and not knowing where to start or which path to take must be frustrating, so we've created a Vesta Pure Account Guide From Scratch to get that stone out of your way.

Why it’s Rank 3: This account is ranked number 3 because it has many features that an account with less than 20 defense can't have, such as the new Prayers that will help you maximize your kill count in PvP. Not to mention the new gear sets, weapons, and spells it can now use. It's one of the most complete accounts with a lower combat level.

4. The SOTD Pure (Combat Level ~65)

The idea is to maximize the core skills, without increasing HP too much, to keep our combat low.

  • Magic: 85 (Teleblock, High Magic DPS)
  • Attack: 75 (Toxic Staff of the Dead)
  • Ranged: 85
  • Strength: 40
  • Defence:
  • Prayer: 1
  • Hitpoints: 70+ (You need enough to survive a high DPS combo).
  • Magic Imbued Cape
  • Any Halo (Castle Wars Tickets)
  • Horror From the Deep (God Books)
  •  Animal Magnetism (Ava’s)

Leveling up a Staff of the Dead build from scratch can take a short or long time, depending on the path you choose to start training your account, but don't worry, we have the most optimal way to do it.

Why it’s Rank 4: The Toxic Staff of the Dead (SOTD) pure is an outlast build that abuses venom and magic damage at a ridiculously low combat level.

5. The Volatile Pure (Combat Level ~50-60)

This account, being extremely dangerous and strong, is also extremely weak, and the truth is that it is very easy to die, so it is not advisable to show off about the Volatile Nightmare Staff too much, but rather keep it in your inventory and only use it when absolutely necessary.

Your target stats for this account build should look exactly like this:

  • Attack: 1
  • Strength:
  • Defence:
  • Ranged: 1 (Completely irrelevant).
  • Magic: 95-99 (The Volatile Staff special attacks scale directly with your Magic level).
  • Prayer: 31 (Mandatory for Protect Item. You do not want to lose a 100m+ staff every time you die).
  • Hitpoints: 50/70+ (Exactly 50 is required to wield the Volatile Staff).
  • Horror From the Deep (God Books)
  • Magic Imbued Cape

There are many stats to level up on an account like this, so it is ok to forget the most optimal way to train each one of them. For this, we have created a Volatile Pure Account From Scratch Guide.

Why it’s Rank 5: This is one of the most powerful accounts we can still abuse to one-shot our PvP, BH, or Wilderness. Always keep your prayer stat high; don't underestimate another player's ability to smite you. If you're more comfortable with a higher prayer stat, go ahead, but you'll gain some extra combat levels but it's a very weak account; it can die in one shot, just as it can kill others, and it carries a lot of risk, since with low-level prayer it can be easily suppressed. Let's not fool ourselves.

6. The Granite Maul Pure (Combat Level ~50-75)

While the grind to reach 99 strength and Ranged can be long, once completed you will realize that building an account like this is not difficult at all and it is one of the most fun accounts to use in PvP zones.

Your target stats for this account build should look exactly like this:

  • Attack: 50
  • Strength: 99
  • Defence: 1
  • Ranged: 99
  • Magic: 85-99
  • Prayer: 13, or 31 (Depending on if you want Protect Item or Ultimate Strength)
  • Hitpoints: 70+ (You need enough to survive a high DPS combo)
  • Any Halo (Castle Wars Tickets)
  • Decorative Armour (Castle Wars Tickets)
  • Horror From the Deep (God Books)
  • Animal Magnetims (Ava’s)
  • No Prayer Firecape

Don't stress yourself out searching and guessing which method to do when training your stats;  Granite Maul Pure Account From Scratch Guide presents the most optimal and perfect path known to date.

Why it’s Rank 6: Despite having one of the lowest combat levels on the list, it remains one of the most powerful accounts in terms of DPS and combos. It has multiple uses, as it also has magic and can be combined with ranged or melee attacks to PK with this account. Many won't expect what awaits them when facing this killing machine account, leading to overconfidence and ultimately, defeated (back to death spawn).

7. The Baby Pure (Combat Level ~50s)

If you're completely new, know nothing about the game, or at least about PKear, this account is for you, since you won't have to risk much in each fight while learning the mechanics and everything you need to know to inspect on more accounts and/or take more risks in your fights.

Your target stats for this account build should look exactly like this:

  • 50-60 Attack (for Dragon and Granite Maul)
  • 60 Strength
  • 60 Ranged
  • 31 or 43 Prayer (depending on your style)
  • 85 Magic (for Teleblock and Mage Arena 2)
  • 1 Defence
  • Lost City Quest – Dragon Dagger (p++)
  • Death Plateau – Climbing Boots
  • Mithril Gloves - RFD sub-quests
  • Castle Wars or LMS – Any Halo
  • Animal Magnetism – Ava’s Accumulator
  • Horror from the Deep  – Unholy Book

Want to start training a build account like this? Don't waste your time and check out our
    Baby Account From Scratch Guide.

Why it’s Rank 7: We'll put this account last because it doesn't offer much versatility for PvP. We can only use 2-3 weapons at most due to our levels, and we don't want to take too many risks since it's a beginner account—for those who want to start exploring the world of PvP and learn its mechanics. If you want to learn how to PvP, we have a guide on that.
