OSRS Baby Pure Guide

OSRS Baby Pure Guide

Creating a Baby Pure PKing account is one of the most fun and easy projects to undertake. With the necessary steps, of course, this guide will walk you through how to reach your goal as efficiently as possible. We'll also add some tips to help you have the most powerful account in the PvP worlds. With 50 Attack, 60 Strength, 60 Ranged, and 43 Prayer, you'll hit high, die cheap, and learn the fundamentals of PKing without risking your bank. Now let’s start training so you can grab your Gmaul, and start dominating PvP worlds.

Requirements & Goals

Target Build

  •   50 Attack (for Dragon and Granite Maul)
  •   60 Strength
  •   60 Ranged
  •   31 or 43 Prayer (depending on your style)
  •   85 Magic (for Teleblock and Mage Arena use)
  •   1 Defence

Must-Have Gear Progression

  •   Lost City Quest – Dragon Dagger (p++)
  •   Death Plateau – Climbing Boots
  •   Mage Arena I – God cape. To obtain the God Cape you need to complete the Mage Arena 1 miniquest, check it to get it.
  •   Combat Bracelet – Same as Mithril gloves

Optional but Strong Upgrades

  •   Mithril Gloves – To obtain the Mithril Gloves you need to complete the Recipe for Disaster subquests, check out our OSRS Mithril Gloves Guide: Fast & Efficient

  •   Unholy Book – Horror from the Deep

Start Gear

Magic is used to kill the bosses fought during quests

Start Inventory

All types of teleports without requirements to speed up the process of doing quests and getting to places faster, and runes to kill quest bosses on safespots.

Step 1: Early Game Questing (1–20 Combat)

Your first hours are all about unlocking basic magic, early strength XP, and essential quest rewards while staying 1 Defence.

Start with Easy Quests

  • Imp Catcher – early Magic XP
  • Witch’s Potion – boosts early Magic
  • Vampire Slayer – easy Strength XP
  • The Restless Ghost – quick Prayer XP
  • Priest in Peril – access to Morytania (future uses)

Train Magic to 20–25 on the Wizard’s Tower lesser demon.
This early magic makes questing much easier.

Step 2: Power Questing for Strength & Attack XP

Questing is the secret to fast, efficient combat gains without ruining your pure build. These quests are designed to take you from a fresh account to around 45 Strength / 40 Attack without traditional grinding.

Complete These Quests in Order

  1. Waterfall Quest – massive early Strength & Attack XP
  2. Tree Gnome Village – Attack XP
  3. Fight Arena – big Attack XP
  4. The Grand Tree – more Attack XP
  5. Death Plateau – unlocks Climbing Boots.
  6. Mountain Daughter – Prayer XP
  7. Doric’s Quest + The Knight’s Sword – Smithing XP for future req

After this batch, your combat stats will be solid, and you’ll have access to all basic melee gear and magic protection prayers once trained.

Step 3: Prayer Training (31 or 43 Prayers)

Next, you’ll need 31 Prayer (or 43 if you plan to use overheads for questing and PKing).

The fastest method is the Chaos Altar in the Wilderness, using Dragon Bones.

  •   Use a Burning Amulet to teleport to Lava Maze.
  •   Bring noted bones + 30k coins to unnote with the NPC.
  •    Each bone has a 50% chance of not being consumed.
  •   50 bones should easily reach 43 Prayer.

If you prefer safety, you can use player-owned house altars on World 330 (Rimmington).

Step 4: Ranged Training

Once your quests and Prayer are done, it’s time to train Ranged

The Ranged Training Camp Method

  • Requirement: Complete Biohazard & Plague City
  • Location: Combat Training Camp (north-west of Ardougne)
  • Setup: Dwarf Cannon + Steel Darts + Best armour
  • Why It’s Amazing: AFK money-making method with safe spots and seed drops.

Simply place your cannon in the dirt area between the Ogres, stand under it, and attack with darts while the cannon fires.
You can AFK-click every 15–20 seconds.

Train here to 60 Ranged while collecting valuable herb and seed drops (benar, torstol, etc.).

Start Ranged Gear

  • Head: Coif
  • Neck: Amulet of Glory
  • Weapon: Iron Darts
  • Body: Leather Body
  • Legs: Leather Chaps
  • Gloves: Combat Bracelet
  • Cape: Obsidian Cape (Optional)

Start Ranged Inventory

  • Dwarf Cannon
  • Green D’hide Vambraces (40+ Ranged)
  • Green D’hide Chaps (40+ Ranged)
  • Blue D’hide Vambraces (50+ Ranged)
  • Blue D’hide Chaps (50+ Ranged)
  • Ardougne Teleport (or Camelot)
  • Stamina Potions

Step 5: Melee Training (Sand Crabs Setup)

With Range finished, it’s time to max your Strength and Attack for your first PK bracket.

Teleport to the Woodcutting Guild, run east to Hosidius Beach, and find the 3- or 4-crab spawn.

Start Combat Gear

  • Head: Iron Full Helm
  • Neck: Amulet of Fury
  • Weapon: Adamant Scimitar
  • Body: Iron Platebody
  • Legs: Fremennik Kilt
  • Gloves: Regen Bracelet
  • Boots: Spiked Manacles
  • Cape: Obsidian Cape (Optional)
    Ring: Berserker Ring
  • Cape: Obsidian Cape
  • Shield: Iron Kiteshield

Start Inventory

  • Coins to enter a private island
  • Super Combat Potion
  • Skill Necklace
  • Brine Sabre (40+ Attack)

We have a complete guide on how to train in Sand Crabs on our website.

Enable these RuneLite plugins

  • Aggression Timer – tracks when Sand Crabs de-aggro (10 mins)
  • Auto Retaliate – keep your attacks constant

AFK here until:

  • 50 Attack
  • 60 Strength

Congratulations — you’re now combat-ready for PKing!

Funding Your Account (LMS Method)

If you’re broke or starting fresh, the best money maker for baby pures is Last Man Standing.
It’s not only profitable, but it’s also the perfect PK training ground.

Each game earns you LMS points, which you can spend on:

  • Ornate Maul Handles
  • Rune Pouch
  • Halos & PK gear

Sell the Mauls at the Grand Exchange for quick cash.

Advanced PK Tips

  • Learn how to use F Keys; they are super important when it comes to PvP/Wilderness.
  • Use the Inventory Setups plugin – lets you restock instantly for PK trips.
  • Use Protect Item when fighting — no shame in saving your Gmaul.
  • Keep HP high. Always eat early

Conclusion

A baby pure is a low-level PKing build focused on high offensive stats and minimal defense. Whether you want the account to do high-risk fights or learn the mechanics of PvP without losing a lot of money. This is undoubtedly one of the types of alt accounts that are worth training to obtain. The goal is simple: maximum KO potential at low combat level — usually between level 55–85 — using weapons like the Granite Maul, Dragon Dagger, or Magic Shortbow.
