OSRS Jelly Slayer Task Guide: Strategy & Locations

OSRS Jelly Slayer Task Guide: Strategy & Locations

Jellies are slayer monsters usually assigned by Krystillia, Vannaka, Chaeldar, and Konar. They have a combat level of 57 and are weak but have very high defence compared to similar monsters around their level. Its stronger variant, the Warped Jelly is typically killed in its place when on a slayer task since it can be found in the Catacombs of Kourend which is a multi-combat zone. They are easy monsters to kill and give good Slayer XP rates so they should not be skipped.

Strategy for Jellies

Killing the Jellies is quite straightforward. In single-combat locations like the Fremennik Slayer cave, players with high defence don’t need prayer potions, as they can tank the hits from the Jelly and heal when necessary. In multi-combat zones, prayer potions are more important since the multiple Jellies will attack at once. However, this allows you to be more AFK as you don’t need to click to attack them. Run a few tiles from their attack range to get them to re-aggro anytime they lose aggression.

Bursting Strategies for Jellies

Players can also burst the Jellies in the Catacombs of Kourend to get very high slayer XP rates. To do this, attack the Jellies in the area to lure them to a corner like above, walk between the 2 tiles highlighted to get them to cluster, and finally, start casting the burst spells. This allows you to damage all jellies at once, getting high slayer XP per hour.
