OSRS Kurask Slayer Task Guide: Strategy & Gear Setup

Kurasks are Green Gorilla-like slayer monsters with a combat level of 106. Their Slayer tasks are worth doing since they give decent XP and are profitable. However, high-level players should rely on more efficient slayer tasks like bossing.

 

Requirements for Kurasks

  • slayer70 slayer to damage
  • leaf bladed weaponLeaf-bladed weapons, broad bolts, broad arrows, amethyst broad bolts, or magic darts.

 

Location of Kurask

Fremennik slayer dungeon: Kurasks can be found in two areas in the Fremennik Slayer dungeon. 5 are in the regular area, and 9 are in the Slayer task only area. The fastest way to get here is with the slayer ring. Alternatively, players can get there with the fairy ring code AJR.

Iorwerth Dungeon: There are 14 Kurasks in this location and requires Song of the Elves to access. The fastest ways to get here include: Charter ship, teleport crystal, Priffdinas teleport, spirit tree or POH teleport.

Strategy for Kurasks

Kurask's slayer tasks are easy to do. They only use melee with a max hit of 11, and protect from Melee completely prevents damage from their attacks. Ensure to use any of the required weapons mentioned above to damage them. Note that they are immune to damage from any other weapon, poison, venom, and damage from the Dwarf multicannon. While praying melee, use your best weapon to attack them in the slayer task area, since there is less competition and more spawns, leading to better XP rates.

 

Safespot Strategy

 If you want to save prayer potions, use the safespot in any of the locations below while attacking with ranged.

  • Safespot in north-west corner of the Fremennik Slayer Cove lower level.

  • With 70+ melee, players will get 14,000 slayer XP per hour 
  • With 85+ melee, players will get 17,000 slayer XP per hour
