Daddy’s home miniquest involves helping Marlo’s father renovate a recently squatted house. It has no skill or quest requirements to start, unlocks the construction skill, and rewards the player with a player-owned house and 400 construction XP.

General Questing recommendations

  • Enable RuneLite Quest Helper in your RuneLite plugin section. 
  • Hold your space bar to skip through NPC dialog, and use number keys for chatting dialog. 

 

Item Requirements for Daddy’s Home

  • 10 planks (Ironman can take 10 logs and 1000 GP to any Sawmill Operator)

 

Walkthrough For Daddy’s Home

  • Talk to Marlo in the building northeast of Varrock, beside the Varrock Castle. Reply 2, 3, 3, 3.marlo
  • Talk to the Old man Yarlo in South Varrock.

  • Remove/demolish by left-clicking all the items in the house shown below.
  • Yarlo's house
  • Talk to Old Man Yarlo again, and a cutscene will start.
  • After the cutscene, right-click and build the items you demolished and removed in the house. Buy more nails if you fail.
  • Search the crates in Yarlo’s house for waxwood logs.

  • Talk to the Sawmill Operator northeast of Varrock to make waxwood planks. Use the Lumberyard teleport to get here quicker. 
  • Go back to the house and build the bed with waxwood logs.
  • Talk to Old Man Yarlo.
  • Talk to Marlo in north-east Varrock, where you started the miniquest to complete it.

  • 400 construction XP: an additional 544 when building the house, for a total of 544 construction XP
  • Player-owned house in Rimmington or 1,000 coins if you already own one
  • Marlos’s crate, which contains 25 planks, 5 mithril nails, 5 steel bars, 10 oak planks, 8 bolt of cloth, 5 house teleports, and 1 Falador teleport
