Although the methods of training Hunter can be a little tiresome at times, they are generally profitable and only require a few clicks Throughout the game, players can find several sites to hunt certain creatures using hunting equipment. The Feldip Hills is where most players begin their training. It's usually advantageous to catch some of these animals, especially for Ironman accounts, since the player can obtain rewards like dragon implings and chinchompas, among other things.

Eagle’s Peak: This gives the player the ability to catch ChinchompasBone Voyage; this quest provides the player with access to Fossil Island, which is required for bird house trapping and drift net fishing.Completion of the Natural History Quiz in Varrock Museum grants the player 1,000 experience. This will take the player to level 9 from level 1. To start the quiz, speak to Orlando Smith, located in the basement of the museum as shown below.
Feldips Weasels are kebbits that can be captured by a player with at least 7 hunter, each one caught grants the player 48 hunter experience. Catching these offers the fastest hunter experience rates amongst all active hunter training methods from level 9 to 29 hunter.

Swamp Lizards are salamanders that can be captured by players with at least 29 hunter, each one caught by a player rewards them with 152 hunter experience. To catch swamp lizards, the player needs to build a trap with a rope and a small fishing net. Two traps can be set by a player with a hunter level between 29 and 39, and three traps can be set when the player has 40 hunter.
At level 29, the player should expect 20,000 to 28,000 experience per hour
At level 40, when using three traps, the player should expect 40,000 to 45,000 experience per hour
Falconry is a hunter technique that can be used to catch three different types of Kebbits within a specific area. A gyr falcon is required for this method and it can be rented from Matthias for 500 coins only if the weapon, shield, and hand slot of the player are empty. With the required hunter level and a gyr falcon, the player has to click on a kebbit to send the falcon to capture it, after a few seconds the falcon will return to the player if successful or not.
To increase experience rates, the player should find spawn points of the kebbit they are hunting and stand close to it before using the falcon. The loot should be dropped afterward, the Bonecrusher can help the player automatically bury the bones of the kebbits. A lot of running is also needed for this method, wearing weight-reducing clothing and using stamina potions are recommended.
Falconry can be done at the Piscatoris falconry area. The fastest method of getting here is through the fairy ring AKQ.
At level 43 hunter, spotted Kebbits can caught by the player, catching these will give the player up to 65,000 experience per hour.
At level 57 hunter, Dark Kebbits can caught by the player, catching these will give the player up to 80,000 experience per hour.
At level 69 hunter, Dashing Kebbits can caught by the player, catching these will give the player up to 95,000 experience per hour.
Net traps are used to catch red salamanders, catching these creatures is the fastest active method of training hunter at level 60. A rope and small fishing net are required to set up a net trap and up to four traps can be set in the area, so bring along five small fishing net and ropes. With 5 ropes and a small fishing net, traps can be reset before picking up the collapsed ones.
Players can improve their experience rates by clicking another action as soon as the net and rope are removed from their inventory when they are setting up a new trap, this action breaks the set-trap animation. This requires some practice and accurate timing to be done properly. Weight-reducing clothing and stamina potions are required to get optimal experience rates, since a lot of running is required.
Red salamanders can be caught south of the entrance of the Ourania Cave as shown below. The fastest way to get here is through the Ourania teleport.
At level 60, players will often fail, leading to experience rates between 80,000 to 85,000 experience per hour.
At level 67, players will succeed more typically when catching red salamanders, leading to experience rates between 100,000–105,000 experience per hour.
The technique used to catch black salamanders is similar to the one used for red salamanders. The black salamanders require a hunter level of 67 and each one caught grants the player hunter experience of 319.2. The player should bring 6 ropes and small fishing nets, then set up five net traps on the young tree and drop the salamanders caught as soon as possible
Black salamanders can be found in the Boneyard Hunter area as shown above. The fastest way to get here is through the burning amulet teleport to the Chaos Temple and run north-east from there. The Wilderness Obelisk from east of Corporeal Beast’s lair or from a player-owned house
At level 67 hunter, players can gain 105,000 to 115,000 experience per hour.
At level 73, players can gain 115,000 to 125,000 experience per hour.
Hunting black Chinchompas offers the fastest hunter experience in the game, black Chinchompas are a type of chinchompa that can be caught by players who have completed the Eagles’ Peak quest and have at least level 73 hunter. Each one caught grants the player 315 hunter experience. Box traps are used to catch black chinchompas, a ranged weapon should be used to shoot the stray chinchompas that wander far away from the traps to get the fastest experience rates.
Box traps can be placed one tick faster via tick manipulation. When correctly timed, players can lay a trap instantly after picking up another trap. It’s best to watch a video guide to fully understand this. Players can also use a shooting alt to further increase their experience rates; using a crystal bow and magic short bow for the shooting alt is recommended.
The best location to catch these creatures is in the hunting area in level 32 to 36 wilderness. This area has high PKer activity, so players are advised only to bring items they are willing to lose. The fastest way to get here is through the Wilderness Obelisk from east of Corporeal Beast’s lair or from a player-owned house.
At level 73, players can gain 145,000 experience per hour.
At level 80, players can gain 185,000 experience per hour.
At level 90, players can gain 205,000 experience per hour.
At level 99, players can gain 220,000 experience per hour.
At level 73, players can catch up to 422 black chinchompas per hour, averaging 2,102,128 GP
At level 80, players can catch up to 539 black chinchompas per hour, averaging 2,707,936 GP

Drift net fishing is an effective alternative method of training hunter, it gives fishing and hunter experience at the same time. To start, speak to Ceto to enter the fishing area located in the northern part of the Fossil Island underwater, this costs 200 numulites per day or 20,000 numulites for permanent access, set up drift nets on the drift net anchors and clicks on the fish shoals to chase them into the nets. When done optimally, the player can catch up to 1,200 to 1,250 fish shoals per hour.
To get optimal experience rates, players should bring;
Unlike most methods of training hunter, drift net fishing requires you to spend GP for training, buying the drift nets needed for training from the grand exchange will cost the player 394,795 coins per hour. It will cost roughly 45M GP to get 99 hunter from 44 using this method.
At level 44 hunter and 47 fishing, players can get 60,000 hunter experience and 53,000 fishing experience per hour.
At level 50 hunter and 50 fishing, players can get 71,000 hunter experience and 57,500 fishing experience per hour.
At level 55 hunter and 55 fishing, players can get 82,000 hunter experience and 65,000 fishing experience per hour.
At level 60 hunter and 60 fishing, players can get 93,000 hunter experience and 72,000 fishing experience per hour.
At level 70 hunter and 70 fishing, players can get 116,000 hunter experience and 88,000 fishing experience per hour.
Birdhouse trapping is a recurring hunter technique used to catch birds. It is quite similar to farming runs. To start, set up bird houses on Fossil Island and fill them with seeds, after about 50 minutes, the birdhouses will passively fill with birds which the player will be awarded hunter experience for collecting. Players are required to have a certain crafting level before they can make Bird house traps. The items required to make a bird house trap include Logs, a piece of clockwork with a hammer, and a chisel. When the player collects a filled bird house, the clockwork, the bird nests, and the feathers will be returned to them.

One bird house run typically takes up 1 minute and 30 seconds and since the player has to wait for 50 minutes for their trap to get filled, only 1 run can be done per hour. A full run comprises 4 birdhouses as shown above.
When making regular bird houses, a full run awards the player with 1120 hunter experience (280 experience per birdhouse) and 60 crafting experience (15 crafting experience per hour).
When making Oak bird houses, a full run awards the player with 1680 hunter experience (420 experience per birdhouse) and 80 crafting experience (20 crafting experience per hour).
When making Willow bird houses, a full run awards the player with 2240 hunter experience (560 experience per birdhouse) and 100 crafting experience (25 crafting experience per hour).
When making Teak bird houses, a full run awards the player with 2800 hunter experience (700 experience per birdhouse) and 120 crafting experience (30 crafting experience per hour).

Similar to hunting Black chinchompas, hunting carnivorous chinchompas requires Box traps. This method offers fast experience rates and good profit, it is a good alternative for players who do not want to hunt black Chinchompas in the wilderness. Box traps can also be placed one tick faster via tick manipulation just like when hunting black chinchompas
The best place to hunt Carnivorous chinchompas is in the red chinchompas ground, Players are required to have completed hard western province diary before being granted entrance into this location. 15 spawns are found in this location.
At level 70, using tick manipulation, players can get 93,000 hunter experience per hour or 65,000 hunter experience without tick manipulation.
At level 80, using tick manipulation, players can get 143,000 hunter experience per hour or 103,000 hunter experience without tick manipulation.
At level 90, using tick manipulation, players can get 171,000 hunter experience per hour or 65,000 hunter experience without tick manipulation.
