Adamant Dragons are level 338 metal dragons, first encountered in Dragon Slayer II. They can be assigned as a Slayer task and are worth doing since they are quick to kill, making it unnecessary to skip them.
5 Adamant Dragon's spawns are in Lithren Vault, a facility located in the ruins of a dragonkin castle on Lithkren.
The fastest way to get to the Lithren Vault is by using the Digsite pendant teleport. Before completing Dragon Slayer II, follow the following steps to the Lithren Vault:
After completing Dragon Slayer II, use the digsite pendant on the Strange Machine in Lithkren Vault, north of the rune dragons, to unlock the teleport. Afterward, use the teleport on the digsite pendant to teleport directly to the Lithkren vault.

Adamant Dragons are known to have accurate and strong attacks. Like the Mithril Dragons, they attack with melee, ranged, magic, and Dragonfire. All their regular attacks have a max hit of 29 while the Dragonfire can hit up to 50 damage. Additionally, Adamant Dragons have 2 special attacks.
Poison projectile: a green projectile targeted at the player that splits into two or more projectiles on impact, each targeting adjacent sides of the initial targeted tile. The projectiles deal 14-25 poison damage, which can be reduced to 4-8 damage when using poison protection.
Damage from the attack can be prevented by moving 3 squares away from their original position when the attack was launched.
Blood forfeit: A ranged attack which sacrifices 10% of the Dragon’s current hitpoint to deal damage equal to 20% of the player’s current hitpoint. It hits through protect from Missiles so it’s recommended to keep hitpoint around 40-50 to minimize the damage that can be taken from this attack.
Adamant Dragons are weak to Mage and Stab, so you should use any of these to deal the most damage. Players facing these Dragons will always take damage as they can attack with all 3 attack styles, and a player can only use one protection prayer at a time.
If using melee, players are advised to use Bandos, Justiciar, or Barrows equipment along with Protect from Magic and Piety to reduce damage. These along with weapons like the Ghrazi rapier, Dragon hunter lance or an Osmumten’s fang is a reliable method for killing Adamant Dragons.
Using ranged is also quite effective against Adamant Dragons. If using ranged, the player should maintain their distance and use Protect from Missiles while using Riguor or Eagle Eye. 90+ ranged, Armadyl or Karil’s equipement and a Dragon hunter crossbow can easily kill Adamant Dragons due to the Crossbow’s passive effect.
While using mage, players should turn on protect from magic and use damage-boosting magic equipment such as the Occult necklace and Ancestral or Ahrim’s robes. Using these along with the Tumeken’s shadow is one of the best options for killing Adamant Dragons due to the passive effect from the staff.
The Average Adamant Dragon kill is worth 35K GP or 37K when on a Konar task.
