Agility is an important skill in OSRS. Players with certain agility levels have access to shortcuts and areas around RuneScape that would be inaccessible otherwise. It also allows for faster run energy restoration. Training agility requires a lot of attention to get optimal experience rates and does not cost the player any GP unless they want to get the fastest rates by using stamina potions to maintain their run energy, which will cost a decent amount in the long run.
Graceful Outfit
The Graceful outfit is a weight-reducing gear. When the full graceful outfit is worn, it increases the rate of restoration of run energy by up to 30%. The full set can be bought from Grace’s Graceful clothing found in the Rogues’ Den beneath the Toad and Chicken in Burthope for 260 marks of grace.
This outfit is quite useful when training agility as it allows players to run for longer, therefore improving their experience rates. Although the graceful has no requirement, the experience gained from doing rooftop agility courses will get the player to at least 53 agility before the required 260 marks of grace can be obtained, assuming only rooftop courses are done from the start. Doing quests to skip early agility levels before doing agility rooftop courses will get the player to at least 56 agility before the required marks of grace can be obtained.
Like most skills, completing quests is the fastest method to skip the early levels. Players should complete the quests below as they have low requirements and offer the fastest agility experience rates when starting:
Completion of these quests grants the player a total of 17,200 agility experience, which takes the player from level 1 to level 32 agility.
The Brimhaven agility arena is an agility minigame located beneath the Brimhaven. It offers the fastest agility experience rates between levels 33 to 47 agility. This course is quite different from regular agility courses, it comprises 25 pillars with adjacent pillars connected through agility obstacles and 24 of these pillars contain a ticket dispenser; Players are given objectives to tag ticket dispensers for agility experience, and they can only do this by traversing through agility obstacles in the course as fast as possible. One ticket will be awarded for every ticket dispenser tagged.
Players can gain up to 30,000 agility experience per hour at level 20, which increases up to 67,000 experience per hour as they approach 99 agility. It will take approximately 2 hours to get level 47 from level 33 agility.
The Wilderness Agility Course is an agility training area found in the wilderness. Training agility in this course is dangerous as it is a singles-plus combat area and allows PKers to attack you at any time, so players are advised to only bring items that they are willing to lose. The course can be completed without any risk or with paid access to the agility dispenser. This costs 150,000 coins and rewards the player with valuable loot after each lap, but the coins are lost anytime the player dies or leaves the course. However, the coins are safe if the player decides to log out while they are on the course.
Level 52 agility: Players can still train agility in this course at level 47 by using a summer pie to boost their agility level.
Players can get between 50,000 to 60,000 experience per hour. Players who pay the 150,000 coin fee will get access to the dispenser which will reward them an approximate 50/50 split of alchables and blighted items which can be sold or used by the player. It would take the player approximately 5 hours to get to 62 agility when training on this course at full efficiency.
No doubt, Hallowed Sepulchre offers the fastest agility experience from level 62 agility to 99. This method of training requires good practice, timing, and focus to get the optimal experience rates. It is found in the ancient Saradominist burial ground of the city of Hallowvale which is found beneath the Darkmeyer. There are five floors in the Hallowed Sepulchre, each requiring a different agility level to access. Players need to loot coffins on each floor which provide useful loot, these coffins can only be found after the player has evaded a series of traps that increase in difficulty on every floor.
Here are the agility requirements for each room:
To loot the coffins in each room and obtain hallowed marks and other rewards, it is recommended that the player has the following stats which provide different benefits as follows:
When players have practiced the Hallowed Sepulchre well enough and get good at it, they get these experience rates below:
The Prifddinas Agility Course is probably the best alternative to the methods above. It has low click intensity and can also be quite profitable. It starts when the player climbs the ladder just outside of the north-western bank in Prifddinas. Its mechanics are quite similar to rooftop agility courses, but it has a unique feature that allows players to enter portals that can appear at various points in the course and act as shortcuts.
Crystal shards can be found on this course at the rate of 15 per hour, which are worth over 250,000 GP when used to create divine super combat potions. They automatically appear in the player’s inventory when they are training agility on the course. Marks of grace cannot be obtained from the Prifddinas agility course.
At level 75, players can gain up to 60,000 experience per hour, which increases to around 66,000 experience per hour once they reach level 90.
Players can start to do agility rooftops from level 1 agility. Agility rooftop courses are a very popular method of training agility because players get marks of grace while training on them. They are also very easy to do and require little attention to get optimal experience rates. Agility rooftop courses are located in different areas in RuneScape, but they all have similar mechanics. The fail rate on any agility rooftop course reduces as your agility level increases relative to the agility level required to use the course.
The Werewolf agility course is an agility course located near Canifis. It requires a lot of attention similar to the Hallowed Sepulchre but offers significantly lower experience rates. It is a good alternative for players who do not plan to complete the requirements for Hallowed Sepulchre because of their account build or any other good reason.
The Werewolf agility course rewards the player with 730 agility experience per lap. At level 70 and above, an average time of 38 seconds is required to complete a lap, so players should expect 68,500 agility experience per hour when paying full attention. At lower levels, players can only get between 60,000 to 65,000 agility experience per hour.
Players looking for a less click-intensive alternative should train at the Ape Atoll agility course, as they can get decent experience rates without 100% attention. The Ape Atoll Agility course is an agility training area located near the Marim. It consists of six obstacles, The player has to transverse through these obstacles and if the obstacles are passed in the correct order, some bonus experience will be given to the player.
The success rate when training at the Ape Atoll agility course improves as the player’s agility level increases, which also increases the player’s experience rates. At lower agility levels, a player can only get around 40,000 to 45,000 agility experience per hour At above level 75 agility, players can complete a maximum of 95 laps per hour which nets them around 55,100 agility experience per hour.
