OSRS Animal Magnetism Quest Guide

Animal Magnetism is a quest where the player assists Ava, a quirky scientist residing in Draynor Manor. Upon completion, you'll gain access to Ava’s devices—powerful Ranged cape-slot items that automatically retrieve a portion of your fired ammunition during combat.

• Mithril axe (required to obtain the blessed axe; no other type of axe will do)

• Holy symbol
• Polished buttons
• 10 more ecto-tokens to purchase an undead chicken that you can keep.

How to Obtain Ecto-token

Ecto-token is the currency used in Port Phasmtys. It can be obtained by worshipping the Ectofuntus. This grants 5 tokens and prayer XP per worship. The items required are: any type of bones, a pot, and a bucket of slime (sold at the charter ship). 

• First, grind the bones with the Bone Grinder on the 2nd floor of the Ectofuntus by using your bones on it.

• Head to the ground floor and worship the Ectofuntus with a bucket of slime and Bonemeal in your inventory. Slime can be obtained from the basement of the Ectofuntus with an empty bucket or can be bought from the charter ship.

• Talk to any of the Ghost Disciples around the Ectofuntus to receive your Ecto-tokens.

Walkthrough for Animal Magnetism

• Talk to Ava to begin the quest. Reply 1 to start the quest. Take note of the Witch’s location

• Bring 1 Ghostspeak amulet and 20 Ecto-tokens.

• Talk to Malcolm at the farm west of the Ectofuntus.
• Talk to Alice in the building east of Malcolm. Reply 4.
• Talk to Malcolm again.
• Talk to Alice again. Reply 4. 
• Talk to Malcolm again.
• Talk to Alice again. Reply 4. 
• Talk to the Old crone just east of the Slayer Tower. Reply 2 and talk to her again. Reply 2 again.
• Give the Crone-made amulet to Malcolm. Talk to him and reply 1 to do this.

• Talk to Malcolm again to watch a cutscene..
• Buy two undead chickens from Malcolm. (You can acquire ecto-tokens using the Ectofuntus to the east.). Talk to him and reply 1, 2 to do this.
• Give the two Undead chickens to Ava.
• Bring the following items: 5 Iron Bars and 1 Hammer

• Talk to the witch in the manor twice.
• Go to the iron mine in Rimmington, northeast of the house portal.
• While looking north, use the hammer on the selected iron.

• Give the Bar magnet to Ava.
• Bring 1 Mithril Axe, 1 Polished Button 1 Hard Leather, and 1 Holy Symbol
• Try to chop down an undead tree outside Draynor Manor.

• Talk to Turael in Burthorpe and reply 4 with the Mithril axe and Holy symbol. Talk to him again. Reply 4, 1.

• Try to chop an undead tree outside Draynor manor with the Blessed axe until you receive undead twigs.
• Talk to Ava to give her the Undead twigs.
• Talk to Ava again to receive the research notes.
• Translate research notes by clicking on all the highlighted switches.

• Talk to Ava to give her the translated research notes.
• Combine Hard leather and Polished buttons with the pattern.
• Give Ava the container to complete the quest.
