OSRS Bone Voyage Quest Guide

Bone Voyage is a quest that involves helping the Varrock Museum complete the construction of a barge to reach Fossil Island—an area of great archaeological interest to Curator Haig Halen. Completing the quest grants access to the island.

Walkthrough of Bone Voyage

• Talk to Curator Haig in the Varrock Museum. Reply 1, 1 to start the quest.
• Talk to the Barge Foreman north of the Dig Site. Use Digsite teleport to get here quicker.
• Talk to the Sawmill Operator northeast of Varrock. Reply 4.

• Attempt to enter the Woodcutting Guild on Zeah to talk to the guild's sawmill operator.

• Return to the Sawmill Operator northeast of Varrock. Reply 4
• Return to the Barge Foreman north of the Dig Site.
• Bring the following items: 1 Marrentill potion (unf), 2 Vodka
• Right-click the Barge guard and board the barge.
• Talk to the Lead Navigator on the boat. Reply 1, 1 to start the quest.
• Talk to Jack Seagull in the Port Sarim Pub. Reply 2.

• Return to the barge. Reply 1 
• Talk to the Lead Navigator again.
• Talk to the Odd Old Man north of the Dig Site. Reply 1, 2.
• Talk to the Apothecary in southwest Varrock. Reply 2, 3.
• Talk to the Apothecary again. Reply 2, 3.

• Board the barge.
• Talk to the Junior Navigator to give him the bone charm.
• Talk to the Lead Navigator to give him the potion.
• Talk to the Lead Navigator to set sail. 

The Cursed Voyage

Reply 1 to navigate the ship.

Tips to Navigate Quickly:

• When the top arrow tilts left, tap the right arrow a few times to adjust the rudder.
• When the top arrow tilts right, tap the left arrow to correct it.
• When the arrow points mostly straight ahead, use the arrows to center the rudder.

Sail control:

• Raising the sails increases speed but makes steering more sensitive.
• For fastest travel, keep the sails fully raised and focus on steady corrections.

Once the progress bar fills, you’ll successfully arrive at Fossil Island.

Notes: After quest completion you can use the iron bar, oak planks, nails and hammer to build a bank chest on Fossil Island (requires 21 Construction).
