Callisto is a level 470 bear in its den, the Callisto’s Den, which is in level 40 Wilderness. Killing Callisto is quite profitable as it has several valuable drops like the voidwaker hilt, claws of Callisto, tyrannical ring, and Callisto cub. Players can fight Callisto solo or as a group with up to 10 players, but it’s best to kill it with a group when learning its mechanics. Since it is a bear, players can kill it when assigned to a bear slayer task.
Callisto’s Den is a multi-combat in the Wilderness, south of Demonic Ruins. Accessing Callisto’s den requires a one-time fee of 50,000 GP, which can be taken directly from your bank. Afterward, players don’t need to pay the fee unless another player kills them. The fee also decreases by 10,000 GP for the player who deals the most damage to Callisto with each kill.

Callisto has several attacks, but his melee is the most dangerous, since it can hit through prayer and has a maximum hit of 55. Players are advised to keep a distance and attack with ranged or magic, but he will always attempt to approach the player to use his melee attack. Use spells such as Ice Barrage or Entangle to freeze him in place and continue attacking with magic or ranged while praying against missiles. During the fight, always maintain your distance, freeze him, and pray against ranged until he performs the Knockback attack, then switch to protect from magic. Make sure to switch back to protect from ranged after the Knockback attack.
Here are Callisto’s attacks and the strategy to avoid them.
Callisto will swipe his paw at the player. This attack has AoE capabilities and can deal high damage. Always stay away from Callisto’s melee range, as protect from Melee will only reduce the attack’s damage by 50%. This has a maximum hit of 55.
Callisto will launch crescent-shaped projectiles at everyone in the den when they are not in melee range. Protect from ranged will prevent damage from this attack. This has a maximum hit of 31.
Callisto will release a magical attack as a white orb-like projectile at a targeted player, pushing them back and inflicting damage. This attack will also damage other players within a 3x3 square of where it hits. The attack knocks the player back by 3 tiles and deals 5 damage if no object is behind the player. However, if the knockback is interrupted by an object, the damage increases by 15 for every tile of interrupted movement. For example:
Turn on protect from magic when you see Callisto lean back as he is about this attack.
At 66% health, Callisto will release red circles known as bear traps around the arena. Players caught in them will be binded and receive up to 15 damage. It will release the traps again when it is at -33% health, but this time, the bear traps will appear after every attack he makes.
Avoid the traps to prevent damage. You can also walk over them if you stand one tile next to it and click on the opposite side.
Players with the suggested combat stats and gear above can kill Callisto 25 times per hour. Each Callisto kill is worth 219K GP. This results in a profit of 4.8M GP per hour after the costs of potion and food has been deducted.
