Calvar’ion is a level 264 boss located in the Skeletal tomb. It is a weaker variant of Vet’ion and is quicker and safer to kill but gives a lower loot value. Killing Calvar’ion counts as a Vet’ion alternative for elite wilderness diary tasks, slayer boss, and combat achievements.
The Calvar’ion’s lair is in the Skeletal Tomb. It is a singles-plus combat dungeon in the Graveyard of Shadows, north of Ferox Enclave. Completion of the medium wilderness diary is required to access this area. The entrance and the tomb are located in level 21 wilderness, so items that can teleport above 20 wilderness are recommended to enable you to escape from PKers.
50,000 coins are required to enter the Skeletal Tomb. This fee can be removed directly from the bank, so you don’t have to bring it. To peek inside the tomb at the entrance and check how many players are inside, the player must have killed Calvar’ion up to 20 times. The Skeletal Tomb is quite close to the Ferox Enclave, so the rejuvenation pool there can be used to restore stats when needed

Calvar’ion will always move towards the player during the fight. Players can lure him to the exit of his arena and keep him there for the majority of the fight. This is effective for players who do not have a scout outside his tomb, as It will allow them to escape quickly from Pkers. The best strategy for escaping PKers is to keep a secondary account outside Calvar’ion’s lair to scout PKers since they cannot hop inside the tomb.
Calvar’ion has a negative crush defence of -10, making him easy to hit with crush weapons. Attack him with a weapon with a high strength bonus, and always pray against melee. Kill the Hellhounds as soon as they appear, and dodge the lightning bolts. Don’t forget to maintain a distance when Calvar’ion changes into his second phase and when it spawns after you kill him.
Melee attack
Calvar’ion will swipe his sword at the player when they are in melee range. Protect from melee should be used to prevent damage from this attack.
Magic attack
A lightning bolt strikes random tiles around the arena. Each lightning bolt deals damage in a 3 x 3 area. A tile will glow when it is about to be struck, giving players enough time to move away. When Soloing, a bolt will always target the tile the player stands on or an adjacent one, while four more will target random tiles around the arena. Always look out for these tiles, as Calvar’ion will perform this attack several times during the fight.
Hellhounds
When Calvar’ion gets to half his initial health, he will summon two skeletal hellhounds to attack the player. While the Skeletal Hellhounds are present in Calvar'ion's cave, he becomes immune to player attacks. To continue damaging him, you must kill the Skeletal Hellhounds. The Skeletal Hellhounds are level 194 monsters with 30 hitpoints and a max hit of 26. Although they can deal high damage, they are quite easy to kill.
Shield Bash
Calvar’ion will bash the area in front of and underneath him. Before this attack, He will raise his shield and shadows will appear on the tiles that can damage the player. If the player does not move, they will take up to 35 damage and will be unable to attack for 4.8 seconds. He will only use this attack when in melee distance. Simply step away from the glowing tiles to avoid this attack.
Enraged Form
This is the second phase of Calvar’ion, which will start after his initial health is depleted. He still has the same attacks but will be orange along with the lightning bolts. He will spawn Hellhounds and finally die when his health gets to zero. Right before this phase, the tiles around Calvar’ion will turn orange, and the player will take damage if standing on them. You should keep a distance from him after his initial health goes to 0% to prevent this damage.
Each Calvar’ion kill is worth approximately 62K GP, 63K on Konar tasks, or 64K on Krystilia tasks. With the recommended stats and gear above, players can kill Calvar’ion 52 times every hour when banking. PKers interruption is considered. This results in a profit of about 3,027,426 GP after the costs of food and supplies have been deducted.
