Crafting is a skill that allows players to create jewellery, pottery, and armour. Making some of these items is very profitable in both F2P and P2P if you can afford to. These items require different materials, and players who want to make them for extended periods need to have a good amount of GP.


Methods that give the best profits and crafting XP rates usually require high capital. In this guide, we will show you the best methods along with the profits and XP rates they generate. Due to price fluctuations, the prices shown below are likely to be slightly different from the prices at the time you are reading this guide, players should always check current grand exchange prices and test with a few materials before buying and selling in large quantities. 


Best Locations for Profitable Crafting Methods

Most profitable crafting methods involve players running from a bank to a furnace and back. For this reason, It is recommended to use furnaces that are quite close to a bank, this would greatly improve the profits. Also, ensure to not wear any armor or heavy clothing, as they drain running energy. It’s recommended to wear weight-reducing clothing or no clothing at all.


Edgeville

Edgeville

Edgeville is located at the border of the Wilderness, it is a popular place for fast banking, especially for players who have the amulet of glory. A furnace is quite close to the bank in this location, and it has no requirements, making it a popular location for many players in P2P and F2P to train crafting. 


Prifddinas

Prifddinas

Prifddinas is the city of the elves, located north of Isafdar. Players must complete the Song of the Elves quest before they are granted access to this city. There is a furnace in the southeast of the city which is close to the bank, similar to Edgeville, but not as popular due to its requirements.


Profitable Methods of Crafting in P2P

Here are the most profitable crafting methods in P2P, starting from most profitable to least profitable.


Crafting Xerican Robes

Xerican Robes

This method is very risky, but if done correctly, it is the most profitable crafting method in P2P. It’s risky because the prices of these materials fluctuate quite often on the grand exchange. Ensure to test this method a few times before investing a lot of GP. It involves the use of Thread and Xerican fabric to form Xerican robes. Unlike most crafting methods, it does not require a furnace.

  • A needle, thread, and Xerican fabric
  • 7.5M+ coins 

GP per hour from crafting Xerican Robes

Every hour, 1900 pieces of Xerican robes, worth 15,656,000 GP, can be crafted. This requires 7600 Xerican fabric and 380 threads, worth 15M GP. This results in a profit of 656K GP per hour. Players are also able to get 167,200 crafting XP every hour.


Crafting Drift Nets

Drift Nets

Players can craft drift nets by using two jute fibers on a loom. It is possible to craft up to 1,100 drift nets per hour if paying attention. The best loom to use for this method is located at Fossil Island because of its proximity to a bank.

Crafting Clockworks

Using the workshop in a POH, players can craft steel bars into Clockworks. To be more efficient, players can use teleport spells to move between the house and bank chest in Camelot on a PVP world. Although you have to use PVP worlds for this world, it is generally safe as long as you don’t leave the safe zone.


Steps for Crafting Clockworks

  • Equip a dust battlestaff and take out law runes from your inventory.
  • Switch to a PVP world after teleporting to Camelot.
  • Withdraw 27 steel bars from the bank chest, then use House Teleport.
  • Use the Crafting Table 2 and press "1" on your keyboard when the menu appears to quickly choose the Clockwork option.
  • Once you gain XP or see the steel bar transform into a clockwork, click the crafting table again and press "1" to repeat the process for all 27 bars.
  • After crafting the last clockwork, use Camelot Teleport and repeat the steps starting from step 3 until all clockworks are made.

  • Dust battlestaff
  • A POH with at least crafting table 2 in the workshop
