Fairytale I - Growing Pains is the sequel to Lost City, set in Zanaris, the fairies' realm and Gielinor’s moon. The quest revolves around the Fairy Queen’s battle with a deadly tanglefoot and her mysterious replacement by the Fairy Godfather.

  • Secateurs.
  • Spade.
  • Ghostspeak amulet.
  • Dramen or Lunar staff.
  • Draynor skull

 

Obtaining the required items on Ironman

  • Secateurs: These can be bought from farming shops. The closest option is the one in Falador.
  • Spade: Can be bought from a farming shop.
  • Ghostspeak amulet: Obtained during the Restless Ghost quest.
  • Dramen staff: Obtained during the Lost City quest. 
  • Draynor skull: Dig the grave, north of Draynor manor to get this.

  • Teleport to Morytania: Like the Salve graveyard teleport.

Walkthrough of Fairytale i - Growing Pains

  • Talk to Martin in the Draynor Market. Reply 2, 1, 1 to start the quest. 

Martin's location

  • Talk to 5 farmers, then return to Martin in Draynor Village. The recommended 5 are:
  • Frizzy in Port Sarim. Reply 1. 
  • Elstan northwest of Draynor. Reply 1.
  • Heskel in Falador Park. Teleport to Falador to get here quicker.

  • Treznor south of Varrock Castle. Use Varrock teleport to get here quicker. Reply 1.
  • Dreven south of Varrock, next to the Champions' Guild.

Farmers in Varrock

  • Return to Martin in the Draynor Market. Reply 2. 
  • Bring the following items:  1 x Dramen or lunar staff
  • Equip the Dramen staff and open the shed south of Lumbridge to travel to Zanaris.
  • Talk to the Fairy Godfather in the Throne Room. Reply 2, 
  • Talk to Fairy Nuff in northwest Zanaris.

Fairy Godfather and Fairy Nuff

  • Talk to Zandar in the Dark Wizards' Tower west of Falador. Climb up the stairs twice to get to him.

  • Talk to Malignius Mortifer west of Port Sarim with Draynor skull in your inventory. Reply 2. Take note of the items Mortifier tells you get. Check OSRS wiki to find the best ways to obtain any of the possible items he requests.

Malignius Mortifer

  • Bring: 1 Ghostspeak amulet, 1 secateurs, and the 3 items Mortifier told you to get and enter the Grotto in the south of Mort Myre. Use the Salve graveyard to get closer to this location.

Going to Grotto in Mort Myre

  • Wear the Ghostspeak amulet and talk to the Nature Spirit. He will bless your Secateurs, which will then glow green and turn into the magic secateurs.
  • Bring: 1 Dramen staff and 1 magic secateurs. Travel to Zanaris by entering the shed south of Lumbridge with the Dramen staff equipped, ready to fight the Tanglefoot.

Zanaris entrance

  • Enter the Tanglefoot lair in the south of Zanaris, near the cosmic altar. Kill the large Tanglefoot. It can only be harmed with the Magic Secateurs. Full adamant armour, warrior ring, amulet of fury, combat bracelet, and good food can get it done easily. It is also recommended to have atleast 50 in all combat stats or use boosting potions to boost stats to that level.

Tanglefoot's location

  • Pick up the Queen Secateurs, the Tanglefoot drops.
  • Talk to the Fairy Godfather with the Queen Secateurs to finish the quest.
