OSRS Gargoyle Slayer Task Guide

Gargoyles monsters are a Slayer task in Old School RuneScape for mid- to high-level players. Known for their consistent profit and low-risk combat, they're an excellent choice for those looking to combine GP with Slayer experience. In this guide, you'll learn everything from required unlocks to gear setups and combat strategies. We'll also touch on the Grotesque Guardians and other alternative monsters, which can be fought for greater challenge and loot.

Requirements for Gargoyle Tasks

  •   75 Slayer to damage Gargoyles
  •   Either a Rock hammer in inventory or the Gargoyle Smasher Slayer unlock
  • Completion of Priest in Peril to access Morytania, where they belong

  •  Melee.png?0a53d 80+ Melee combat stats
  •  Prayer_icon.png?7e70b 43+ Prayer for overhead protection
  •  Ranged_icon.png?01b0e 70+ Ranged or 75+ Magic if using alternatives

Other Recommendations for the Gargoyle

  •   Gargoyle Smasher unlock (automatically kills low HP Gargoyles without a Rock hammer)
  •   Slayer Helmet (i) for boost.
  •   Bonecrusher, Herb Sack, Rune Pouch for supply-saving.

Location of the Gargoyles

Gargoyles are found on the top floor of the Slayer Tower (north of Canifis in Morytania). Upon reaching the Slayer Tower, you can use agility shortcuts or run to the end of the tower until you find some stairs that will take you to the second floor. Then, you must repeat the same process until you reach the third floor, where there are 8 spawns of these monsters.

If you are on Slayer Task, you can go to the basement, where there will be 12 spawns of these monsters just for you.

Fastest ways to get there:

  •   Slayer Ring to Slayer Tower
  •  Fairy Ring CKS then run north
  •   Ectophial teleport and run all the way to the west
  •   Arceuus Spellbook (Slayer Tower teleport spell)

Tip: The northwest room is closer and easier to stack to burst them.
