OSRS Ghosts Ahoy Quest Guide

Ghosts Ahoy is a quest where you help the restless spirits of Port Phasmatys find peace and finally move on to the afterlife.

General Questing recommendations

• Enable RuneLite Quest Helper in your RuneLite plugin section. 
• Hold your space bar to skip through NPC dialog, and use number keys for chatting dialog.

Item Requirements for Ghost Ahoy

• Some amount of Ecto-tokens: 31 Ecto-tokens (20 with ring of charos (a)) OR 25 Ecto-tokens (10 with ring) using charter ships OR 1 bone, 1 pot, and 1 bucket for every 5 Ecto-tokens required.
• 400 Coins
• Ghostspeak amulet 
• Bucket of milk
• Silk
• 3 colours of dye (The dye colours you will need are random. If you want to save a trip, have 3 red, 3 blue, and 3 yellow dyes. That way, you can mix whatever colours you end up needing.) 
• Spade
• Oak longbow
• Knife (can be purchased from the Canifis general store)
• Needle and thread (can be purchased from the Canifis general store) or a costume needle
• One extra bucket of slime for colouring the bedsheet (can be purchased from a Charter ship crewmember at the port).
• Nettle tea: Can be made by cooking nettle-water on a fire or cooking range. Nettle-water can be made by adding nettles to a bowl of water. Nettles can be found in several areas in the game. A good spot to pick them is in Edgeville, where there are six spawns since the nearby range can be used to make the Nettle tea. Pick up a few since there is a chance of failing to make the tea. Use the sink in Edgeville to refill your bowl if this happens. Ensure you equip gloves like leather gloves before attempting to pick Nettles, or you will fail and take damage.

How to Obtain Ecto-token

Ecto-token is the currency used in Port Phasmtys. It can be obtained by worshiping the Ectofuntus. This grants 5 tokens and prayer XP per worship. The items required are: any type of bones, a pot, and a bucket of slime (sold at the charter ship). 

• First, grind the bones with the Bone Grinder on the 2nd floor of the Ectofuntus by using your bones on it.

• Head to the ground floor and worship the Ectofuntus with a bucket of slime and Bonemeal in your inventory. Slime can be obtained from the basement of the Ectofuntus with an empty bucket or can be bought from the charter ship.

• Talk to any of the Ghost Disciples around the Ectofuntus to receive your Ecto-tokens.

Recommendations for Ghost Ahoy

• 15 Combat level
• Level 58 Agility (can be boosted) to save time at the Ectofuntus
• Food and weapons to defeat a level 32 foe
• 2-3 Stamina potions
• Fast travel between quest locations (Slayer ring to Slayer Tower, Fenkenstrain's castle teleport, Canifis teleport or Fairy Rings).

Walkthrough of Ghost Ahoy

• Bring the following items: 1 Ghostspeak amulet, 4 Ecto-tokens, or coins to travel by Charter Ship
• Enter Port Phasmatys.
• Equip the Ghostspeak amulet and talk to Velorina in East Port Phasmatys. Reply 1, 1, 1 to start the quest.
• Talk to Necrovarus at the Ectofuntus.
• Return to Velorina in East Port Phasmatys.
• Bring the following items: 1 Ghostspeak amulet, 1 Nettle tea, 1 Bucket of milk
• Talk to the Old Crone east of the Slayer Tower.

• Use the nettle tea on the porcelain cup.
• Use the bucket of milk on the porcelain cup.
• Talk to the Old Crone east of the Slayer Tower. Reply 1 to offer to help. 
• Bring the following items: 1 Ghostspeak amulet, 1 Silk, 1 Needle, 1 Thread, 1 Knife, 1 Spade, 27 Ecto-tokens, or travel by Charter Ship, 25 Ecto-tokens, and  3 colours of dyes (which dye you'll need is random). To be prepared, bring 3 red/blue/yellow dyes.
• Use the silk on the model ship.
• Get ready for combat with the Giant lobster and attempt to search the chest in the east of the hull of the ship west of Port Phasmatys. A giant lobster will spawn, and you need to kill it.

• Kill the Giant Lobster.
• Search the chest in the east of the hull again.
• Go up the ladder in the ship west of Port Phasmatys.
• Go up to the mast of the ship.

• Search the Mast repeatedly until you've found out all the colours for the toy boat.

• Dye the top of the model ship's flag to match the real ship.
• Dye the bottom of the model ship's flag to match the real ship.
• Dye the skull of the model ship's flag to match the real ship.
• Go to the main deck of the ship.
• Talk to the Old Man shown in the image above with the model ship. Reply 3 to get a key.
• Use the key on the chest in the image above in the Captain's Room, then search it.
• Go across the gangplank to the north.
• Jump across the rocks to the chest and search it for a map piece.

• Use the map pieces together.
• Enter Port Phasmatys.
• Travel on the rowing boat on the docks.

• Dig on the south of the island for a book.

• Return to Port Phasmatys with the Ghost Captain.
• Bring the following items: 400+ coins 1x Oak longbow
• Talk to Ak-Haranu in the image above. Reply 1.
• Talk to Robin in the image above in the Port Phasmatys pub. Keep playing Runedraw until he agrees to sign your bow. Reply 1. Click Draw each time the interface shows.

• Bring the signed bow to Ak-Haranu.
• Bring the following items: 1 Ghostspeak amulet and 1 Bucket of slime
• Talk to the Ghost Innkeeper. Reply 4, 1
• Use a bucket of slime on the bedsheets.
• Talk to Gravingas, south of the entrance while wearing the bedsheet. Reply 1.

• Alternate talking with the ghost villagers until you have 10 signatures. Make not to speak to the same villager twice in a row.
• Bring the petition to Necrovarus at the Ectofuntus to cause him to drop a bone key.
• Go upstairs in the Ectofuntus.

• Use the key on the south room's door.
• Search the coffin.
• Bring the following items: 1 Ghostspeak amulet, 1 Book of haricanto, 1 Translation manual, 1 Mystical robes
• Bring the items to the Old Crone east of the Slayer Tower.
• Talk to Necrovarus at the Ectofuntus. Reply 1.
• Pass the Barrier. You can now pass it without paying Ecto-tokens.
• Talk to Velorina in East Port Phasmatys to finish.
