OSRS Hespori Guide: Strategy & Gear Setups

OSRS Hespori Guide: Strategy & Gear Setups

Hespori is a farming boss in the cave found in the Farming Guild’s west wing. This section of the farming Guild requires level 65 farming to access. Hespori is a sporadic boss; it cannot be fought whenever the player wishes, since it requires an item. Before players can fight the Hespori, they must plant a Hespori seed in the Hespori patch and wait for it to grow, which will take 22–32 hours, depending on when it was planted.

When it is grown, the fight will start when the player attempts to harvest it. This fight happens in instances, meaning that a special area is generated for each player. The Hespori has some good drops, and the player is also awarded 12,600 farming experience for every kill.

How to get to Hespori

As mentioned above, Hespori can be found in the farming guild which is within the Kebos Lowlands, north of the Kebos swamp. Here are the fastest ways to get here:

Hespori's location

  • Skill necklace: Players can teleport directly to the farming guild using this. If they have more than 45 farming, they can be teleported inside the guild instead of outside.
  • Farming cape: players can also use this to teleport directly to the farming guild.
  • Lovakengj Minecart Network: This service costs 20 coins per ride, and it’s free after the completion of the Forsaken Tower.
  • Battlefront Teleport; after using the teleport or magic tablet, players can run east to the farming guild
  • Fairy ring CIR: Players can use the fairy ring to teleport to Mount Karuulm and then run southwest to the farming guild

How to get Hespori Seeds

Hespori seeds can be randomly obtained from checking the health of fully grown trees, and bushes, from the previous harvest of herbs, hops, allotments, flowers, mushrooms, cacti, and giant seaweed, or from completing farming contracts. The player has a different chance of obtaining the Hespori seed with any of these options.

                 getting hespori seed

The most popular and best method of getting Hespori seeds is by planting Giant seaweed in Fossil Island since they take a shorter time to grow and players have a 1/15 chance of getting the Hespori seed when harvesting it.

Fighting Hespori is quite easy, and he can be easily killed with these stats:

  • 60 attack
  • 60 strength
  • 60 defence
  • 60 hitpoints

Any ranged level is good enough since the flower buds explained below can be killed with one hit.

Inventory Setup For Fighting Hespori

Inventory Setup For Fighting Hespori

This consists of:

  • A bow: any good bow depending on your ranged level: this is needed to kill the flower buds explained below, the toxic blowpipe is recommended since it is faster and does not require you to carry ammo.
  • Spec weapon: Dragon dagger works well
  • 1 attack-boosting potion like a super attack potion
  • 1 poison immunity potion like the antidote++ or antipoison
  • Seed dibber
  • Spade
  • Good food: the rest of your inventory should be filled with good food. Like Karambwans or Sharks

Flower Buds

Flower Buds

Players have to kill four flower buds surrounding the Hespori. These flowers will open up three times:

  • at the beginning of the fight,
  • when the Hespori reaches 66% of its health,
  • when it reaches 33% of its health.

They both have 10 hitpoints and always die with one hit. The Hespori cannot be attacked while any of them are alive.

Hespori’s Attacks

To effectively kill Hespori, Players must understand its attacks and how to evade them. The Hespori has 2 regular attacks and a special attack

Hespori’s ranged attack

The Hespori will often throw green spores at the player, which hits twice. This attack has a max hit of 16, 8 from each green spore. Players can reduce the maximum hit from this attack to 4 by turning on the protect from missiles

Hespori’s magic attack

Hespori will throw a green wave of magic at the player, this attack has a max hit of 14. Players can reduce the maximum hit from this attack to 3 by turning on protect from magic

Hespori’s Special attack

Hespori’s Special attack

The Hespori has a special attack where he entangles the player in roots, preventing the player from moving or attacking him for up to 6 seconds (10 ticks). “Hespori entangles in some vines!” will appear in the player’s chatbox when he performs this attack. Players can break free early from this attack by repeatedly clicking a new tile or on Hespori. “You feel the vines loosen slightly as you try to move” will show in the player’s chatbox when they click. A player can click again after the message appears for the fifth time in their chatbox to clear the vines and break free.

Except for these attacks, Hespori can poison the player, so ensure to bring some protection against poison like the antipoison potions.

Strategy for Fighting Hespori

First off, make sure to bring high-ranged defence armour or high-magic defence armour. Turn on protect from Magic if wearing high-ranged defence armour, or protect from ranged when wearing high magic defence armour. Also, drink attack-boosting and poison immunity potions, and equip a ranged weapon like a toxic blowpipe or magic shortbow before you attempt to harvest Hespori; attempting to harvest Hespori will make him wake up and start to attack you.

Harvest Hespori

When ready, wake Hespori and attack all flower buds surrounding him with the ranged weapon first; always switch to your ranged weapon when attacking the flower buds throughout the fight, Switch to a special attack like the Dragon dagger, and attack Hespori. This can deal good damage that would help you get faster kills. Switch back to a slash weapon and continue to attack Hespori if the flowers are not activated again. Watch out for his special attacks and click another tile repeatedly to escape them; they will occur if the fight lasts longer than 50 seconds. Continue to attack Hespori and if you successfully kill him, clear the Hespori patch to receive drops and 12,600 farming experience.
