Impetuous Impulses is a minigame where players catch implings to obtain trinkets and treasures. Players can play the minigame in Puro-Puro, and it is considered safe as nothing there can kill them.
The Impetuous Impulses take place in Puro-Puro. Players can enter by clicking the center of the crop circle in Zanaris in the middle of a wheat field, east of the fairy ring. Players can get to Zanaris by wielding a dramen or lunar staff and entering the small hut in the middle of the Lumbridge swamp.
Elnock Inquisitor at Puro-Puro will give players 3 empty impling jars in exchange for any impling-filled jar. This is especially useful for Ironman as they don’t need to bring Jars to the Puro-Puro. They can start with the 7 impling jars given to them by Elnock, catch implings with them, and then exchange them for 21 impling jars.
Players can make money with this method as catching Baby implings with the jars and exchanging them for empty impling jars is profitable, generating up to 280K GP per hour, as players can catch 504 Baby implings per hour.
As you enter the Puro Puro, you will notice that the minimap will no longer be available due to its magical power. The Impetuous Impulses minigame takes place in a maze and the walls are made up of magical wheat. Players need to right-click and push through it to enter different layers of the maze, and they can choose to receive strength XP anytime they do this by speaking to Elnock. Certain parts of the maze will lower randomly, and players can pass through these areas without pushing through wheat.
The blue areas show the part of the maze that randomly opens up.
In Puro-Puro, there are 35 spawn points from which invisible NPCs spawn. These invisible NPCs roam for two minutes before becoming visible as an impling at any location in Puro Puro. They respawn as invisible NPCs immediately after being caught. The type of impling that appears after the timer depends on the tier of the invincible NPC:
Here are the invincible spawns and their tiers available in Puro Puro
Implings in the same tier can appear at the chance listed below.
Additionally, there are 51 fixed spawn points for low-tier implings in Puro Puro. Implings spawn directly from these points and are immediately visible.
Here are the types of Implings in the Puro Puro and their tiers. The chances of one spawning from the invisible spawn points in the Puro Puro are also included.
The best method to catch the most implings from the Invisible spawn points is to force-spawn them. For instance, to maximize the amount of Dragon implings that will spawn, a player should catch all rare implings (nature, magpie, ninja) as they would have spawned from higher tier spawn tiles, giving a chance for a Dragon impling to spawn after. This is best done in the northwest and southeast corners of Puro Puro shown above (higher tier spawn tiles)
Players should hop between multiple worlds while doing this so they don’t have to wait for the 2-minute-timer for the higher tier implings to become visible.
Players who want to catch the lower-tier implings from the fixed spawn points can easily stand close to the spawn points of the implings they want and catch them as soon as they spawn since they spawn relatively quickly. If you miss them, you might wait a while for them to roam back to the section of the maze you are in.
Dark Lure requires 50 magic, completion of Kingdom Divided, 1 nature rune, 1 death rune, and the Arceuus spellbook to be cast. When cast on a monster, it causes it to be lured to the player. Snare requires the regular spellbook, 50 magic, 4 water runes, 4 earth runes, and 3 nature runes to be cast. When cast on a monster, it prevents it from moving for up to 9.6 seconds. Any of these spells can be used on implings to ensure they don’t run away if you fail to catch them.
Players with 83 hunter, decent strength and agility levels, and 50 magic to cast Snare or Dark Lure can catch 1 to 4 Dragon implings per hour. This results in a profit between 479K to 1.9M GP after the cost of impling jar and stamina potions have been deducted. Note that Dragon Implings are rare, so profits are dependent on luck.
