Cooking is an essential skill for an Ironman as it is required to make food used for healing. It is usually trained alongside fishing, and as levels in both skills increase, players gain access to better food, allowing them to take on more challenging opponents.
Completing quests is the fastest way to get started with cooking on Ironman.
This gives a total of 3,825 cooking XP, taking the player from level 1 to 18 cooking.
At level 18, the fastest training method involves catching and cooking raw trout and salmon at a nearby fire. The best place to do this method is at Shilo Village since it has a nearby bank.
The fish can later be cooked in the Rogues’ Den or the Hosidius Kitchen.
At level 18, Players can gain up to 15,000 XP per hour when fishing raw trout and salmon.
Sweetcorn can be harvested from the Sweetcorn plants in Varlamore and cooked at the nearby range south of Civitas illa Fortis. Sweetcorn can also be grown in allotment patches with the farming skill.
Players can get up to 60,000-70,000 XP while cooking the Sweetcorn.
Not only do Karambwans provide a good source of food, but cooking them is the fastest method of training from level 60 to 68 cooking. They can be caught after the completion of Tai Bwo Wannai Trio and the best spot to cook them is at the Myth’s Guild and Mor UI Rek. Players can cook about 1300 Karambwans per hour, giving 247,000 cooking XP. XP rates might be lower depending on the burn rate.
A jug of wine can be made by using grapes on a jug of water, giving 200 cooking XP.
Players can get 470,000-490,000 cooking XP per hour from making jugs of wine.
Players can buy raw sardines from the fishing shop in Gerrant’s Fishy business. He usually has 200 in stock and restocks every 0.6 seconds or 1 tick. The best place to cook them is on a fire in Lovecraft’s tackle in Witchhaven
At level 40 cooking, players with 33 construction can build an Oak larder, which provides infinite amount of cooking materials to bake cakes. They can be cooked with the range in a player’s POH or one outside the portal in Rimmington or Hosidius. This method is very click-intensive as players have to click once per tick to quickly retrieve the supplies.

Players can cook 500 cakes per hour, providing 50,000 XP at level 40 and 70,000 XP at level 60.
The Servery Pineapple Pizzaz can be made in the Hosidius mess hall, requiring 65 cooking. The Hosidius mess hall is a building, south of the Great Kourend statue. This method does not require any items from outside the Mess, making it great for Ironman. At 65 cooking, players can expect around 160,000–200,000 per hour when making Severy Pineapple Pizzaz.
Cooking sharks is a great alternative for players looking to get useful food but don’t have the requirements to catch Karambwans. Sharks are one of the highest-healing foods in the game and cooking them gives decent cooking XP per hour. The fastest way to obtain them is through minnows fishing. You should obtain the cooking gauntlets before doing this method, as they significantly decrease the likelihood of burning sharks and other fishes when cooking them. It can be obtained after the completing the Family Crest quest, along with the Goldsmith and Chaos Gauntlets.
Players can get 273,000 cooking XP per hour from cooking sharks.
