OSRS Lobster Fishing Guide: Best Spots For F2P & P2P

OSRS Lobster Fishing Guide: Best Spots For F2P & P2P

Fishing Lobsters is one of the most profitable methods of training fishing between levels 40 to 62 fishing, Lobsters are a type of fish that restores 12 hitpoints when eaten and is commonly traded in the grand exchange. Each lobster successfully caught grants the player 120 fishing experience and costs 82 coins at the current grand exchange price. Cooking the lobsters obtained significantly improves the overall profits and the cooked Lobsters can be used as food.

In P2P, it is recommended to catch Monkfish at 62 fishing since you can get about 34,800 fishing experience and 60,000+ GP per hour which is a lot higher than the experience rates and profit from catching Lobsters

F2P locations for Fishing Lobsters

  • Musa Point: This is located northeast of the Karamja Volcano. It is the best location for catching Lobsters in F2P since a bank is not too far away. When your inventory is full, you can drop all the Lobsters or bank them. To bank the Lobsters, run to the docks in the image below and talk to the customs officer. Click the option to travel to Port Sarim and agree to get searched. He will search you before you are taken to Port Sarim on the boat

When you arrive at Port Sarim, run north through the docks to the deposit box. Each trip to and from Port Sarim costs 30 coins, so be sure to bring coins. Only two items should be in your inventory when using this spot; a Lobster pot and coins

Port Sarim deposit box

If you run out of coins to teleport to Port Sarim, the NPC, Luthas pays players who help him collect bananas. You can collect bananas from his Banana plantation nearby and give him to get some coins. This should only be done in cases of emergency, as it is very inefficient.

  • Northeast of Wilderness: There is a lobster fishing spot at the northeastern part of level 30+ wilderness. Remember to always take a minimal risk when heading to the Wilderness due to the risk of running into PKers.

  • Corsair Cove Resource Area: This requires the completion of the Dragon Slayer I quest. If low level, watch out for the Ogress shamans and warriors in this area. The fishing spots in this location are two ticks faster than other spots; players should use it if they have the requirement and prefer to not bank.
