OSRS Magic Training Guide: Leveling 1-99 Fastest For P2P

OSRS Magic Training Guide: Leveling 1-99 Fastest For P2P

Magic is a very popular and important skill in OSRS. It makes one of the three combat classes (melee, ranged and magic) and can be used in combat through combat spells. It enables players to teleport to different locations and cast utility spells like high alchemy, Supermake glass, and many others. There are several methods of training magic and like most OSRS skills, the fastest methods are more expensive. Profitable methods usually have more requirements, but they also yield decent XP rates.

Fastest Method of Training Magic

Questing: Levels 1-34

Like most OSRS skills, players can skip early training methods by completing quests that give magic XP.

  • Witch’s potion: This is a short quest that awards players with 325 magic XP after completion.
  • Imp catcher: This quest is also quite short, players are rewarded 875 magic XP upon completing it.
  • Fairytale I - Growing pains: it requires the ability to defeat a level 111 Tanglefoot and completion of Lost City and Nature Spirit. Upon completion, players are awarded 1,000 magic XP.
  • The Grand Tree: it requires 25 agility and the ability to defeat a level 172 Black demon. Upon completion, players are awarded 2,150 magic XP
  • Lumbridge Guide Subquest from RFD: It requires 40 cooking. Upon completion, players are awarded 2,500 XP.
  • Watchtower: this quest is moderately difficult and long. It requires 14 magic, 15 thieving, 25 agility, 14 herblore, 40 mining, and the ability to defeat level 68 Ogre and run past level 111 Blue dragons. Upon completion of this quest, players are rewarded with 15,250 magic XP

Completing these quests will give players a total of 22,100 magic XP, taking them from levels 1 to 34 magic.

Enchanting Bolts: Levels 34–99

Enchanting Bolts

At level 34, Enchanting bolts using the Enchant Crossbow Bolt spell becomes the fastest method of training magic, and it can be done while training other skills. However, it is very expensive and is not the realistic method to get to 99 magic. Each Enchant Crossbow Bolt spell enchants 10 bolts and is done automatically every 3 ticks. To get the best XP rates, you should speed up the process by holding down the space bar and quickly clicking the spell. This way, the spell can be cast every tick, which triples the XP rates.

Players should change the combat spell as their level increases to get the best XP rates. Ensure to use battlestaves to reduce costs and auto-cast the combat spells. There are three types of crabs; Ammonite crabs, Sand crabs, and Rock crabs. They are generally known to have high hitpoints, very low defence, and can only deal very little amounts of damage. For more in-depth information about them, check out our Sand crabs guide and Ammonite crabs guide
