Spindel is a level 302 boss located in Web Chasm in level 29 wilderness. It is a weaker variant of the Venenatis and is a lot easier and safer to kill. Killing Spindel will count towards the Wilderness dairy, combat achievements, slayer task, when assigned to Venenantis.
The Web chasm is the lair of Spindel. It is a singles-plus combat dungeon; other players can attack you during a fight with a boss. It is in the eastern ruins, north of the Graveyard of Shadows. Only players who have completed the medium Wilderness diary are allowed into this area.
Entering the lair requires a fee of 50,000 coins, which does not need to be in the player’s inventory as it can be deducted directly from their bank. Players can right-click to peek inside the lair to see if there are other players, but they must have at least 20 kills first.

All players who enter Spinel’s lair will appear to the north, so it is recommended to fight Spindel from the south as much as possible to get a better chance of escaping Pkers when they enter. It is also recommended that players place another account outside the entrance of the Web Chasm to scout for Pkers. This is effective for escaping PKers giving you enough time to log out or teleport with your main account if one is spotted.
Spindel can attack with three styles of combat; melee, ranged, and magic. She will use melee only when the player is in her melee range. She is the weakest to crush, so you should use weapons with a high crush bonus.
Melee attack
She will lunge at the player
Ranged attack:
She will launch green spit at the player
Magic attack
Launches webs at the player
Sticky Web
Spindel will often deploy a sticky web which will expand into a 7x5 AoE. Any player caught in it will take rapid hits of 3 damage and have their prayer drained by 3 and run energy by 10. Players should run to the edge of the arena when she is about to deploy this attack, then move after she does. This way, the webs won’t extend to other parts of the arena, making it easier to avoid.
Spiderlings
At certain points during the fight, Spindel will spawn some spiderlings. They will increase her damage and allow her to hit through prayers. They are fairly weak and will drain the prayer on every hit, regardless if it is successful or is prayed against. Bring darts, throwing knives or Chinchompas so you can kill these from a distance
If the player is not in melee range, she will begin the fight with 8 range attacks, followed by 8 magic attacks, while changing position every 4 attacks. She will spawn spiderlings on the 1st range attack cycle and deploy her web attack on the third web attack cycle. This pattern is repeated until Spindel is defeated.
Here is the sequence of Spindel’s attacks and movements
An average Spindel kill is worth 95K GP or 97K GP when on a Konar’s slayer task. Players with the suggested stats above can kill Spindel about 52 times each hour. This results in a profit of 5.1M GP each hour after the costs of food and potions have been deducted. Your profit may be lower or higher depending on your speed and luck.
