OSRS Trolls Slayer Task Guide: Cannon Stategy

OSRS Trolls Slayer Task Guide: Cannon Stategy

Trolls are large, aggressive monsters known for their high Strength and low Intelligence. There are different troll variants and despite their similar appearance, they vary in combat level, attack style, and color. For Slayer tasks, high-level players are encouraged to target Ice Trolls, as they can be cannoned for high Slayer XP rates while breaking even on cannon costs or turning a profit. Ice Trolls make for an efficient Slayer task, providing quick kills and excellent XP gains when using a cannon.

Death Plateau

This location contains 15 level 69 Mountain Trolls. The easiest way to get here is by using games necklace to Burthope and then walking northwest along the path. Ensure to use protect from ranged when going to this location, as some trolls standing on the edge will throw stones at you when you pass.

Start at the bank and set your inventory as shown above. It’s recommended to eat an Anglerfish to overheal before going out. When ready, make your way north to the Ice Trolls. Pray protect from melee and Piety to improve kills. The Best cannon spots are highlighted with the symbol below when using RuneLite. Use the bank south when run out of supplies. This is the best place to kill Trolls since Ice trolls have good drops that can break even the cost of cannonballs or even yield a profit.

Cannoning Mountain Trolls in Death Plateau

Mountain trolls have a combat level of 69 and are weak to stab and slash. They use melee and ranged which have a max hit of 11. They can be found in several locations, but the best place to kill them is at the Death Plateau. Pray protect from melee, set your cannon where it hits all Trolls, and attack the trolls that are aggro to you. A good spot to set the cannon is shown below.
