X Marks the Spot is the introductory quest in the Great Kourend series, centered on helping Veos with a treasure hunt in Lumbridge.

It’s aimed at low-level players and serves as a short, simple introduction to Great Kourend, while building connections between Kourend and the mainland.

Walkthrough of X Marks the Spot

• Talk to Veos in the Sheareed Ram pub in Lumbridge to start the quest. Reply 1, 1 to start the quest.

• Dig north of Bob’s Brilliant Axes, on the west side of the plant, against the wall of his house.

• Dig behind Lumbridge Castle, just outside the kitchen door.

• Dig north-west of the Draynor Village jail, just by the wheat farm.

• Dig in the pig pen just west of where Martin the Master Gardener is.

• Talk to Veos directly south of the Rusty Anchor Inn in Port Sarim to complete the quest.
