K’ril Tsutsaroth is the boss of Zamorak Fortress in the God Wars Dungeon. He can be killed on a slayer task and since He is classified as a greater demon, killing him counts towards a greater demon slayer task.
The God Wars Dungeon (GWD) is located north of Trollheim. Before entering, equip items representing the four gods (Armadyl, Bandos, Saradomin, or Zamorak) to avoid aggression from their followers. Use one of these efficient travel methods:
Inside GWD, proceed to K'ril Tsutsaroth’s lair, northeast of the dungeon. There are two ways to gain access to Kril’s lair::
Bring supplies to counter freezing temperatures and ensure a smooth trip to K'ril Tsutsaroth.
This spell is in the Arceuus spell book and requires 73 magic and completion of a kingdom divided. When cast, it provides the player a 10% damage reduction to the attacks of Demonic creatures. This is an alternative for players that don’t have requirements for blood barrage.

K’ril uses a combination of melee and magic attacks during the fight.
He will swipe at his target with his scimitar, dealing up to 46 damage. This attack can also inflict poison on the player for up to 16 damage. K’ril has a 2/3 chance of using this attack.
K’ril will raise both scimitars in the air and then slam them down, emitting a magical shock wave at his target, dealing up between 10 and 30 damage if successful. He has a 1/3 chance of using this attack.
K’ril will yell “YARRRRRR!” when he uses his prayer smash, dealing 35 to 49 damage, and drains his target’s current prayer points by half. He has a 1/9 chance of using this attack instead of a melee attack if his target is using protect from Melee and there is no way to avoid it.
K’ril has 3 bodyguards that protect him. These bodyguards will attack a random player in the room when K’ril is killed, regardless of who deals the final blow:
This is the magic bodyguard. He is a black demon that uses a fire spell at his target, capable of dealing up to 16 damage.
This is the melee bodyguard. He is a greater demon that uses a melee attack where he claws at his target, dealing up to 15 damage.
This is the ranged bodyguard. He is a lesser demon that throws snowballs at his target, capable of dealing up to 21 damage.
If using melee, use protect from Melee during the fight and wear armour with high magic defence. Right before entering his lair, turn on protect from melee, pray Piety, cast the ward of Arceuus, and drink a dose of sanfew potion and super divine combat potion. Equip your special attack weapon and spec the boss as soon as you enter his lair.
Similar to Graardor, you should walk under K’ril after you do 2 hits. This way, K’ril can only hit you once for every 2 hits you do. To save time, eat while under him. Always keep your hitpoints above 60 throughout the fight because of his high-hitting attack. When K’ril has been killed, adjust your prayer accordingly to the attack styles of the bodyguards and kill them.
While soloing, blood barrage is highly recommended since K’ril and his bodyguards do not drop bones, and bones to peaches cannot be used. Stack Tstanon on Zakl’n so the Blood Barrage spell can hit both of them simultaneously. If you are not going to use Blood Barrage, kill Zakl’n Gritch (ranged bodyguard), Tstanon Karlak (melee bodyguard) and then the Balfrug Kreeyah (magic bodyguard) in that order. When they are all dead, pray at the altar and get ready for them to respawn.
With this method, players can do between 2 and 4 kills per trip.
If killing K’ril with a team, the team should have a tank and attacker.
Tanks should use protect from magic and focus on gear with melee and ranged defence like a full set of Justiciar armour with echo or guardian boots which can be combined with dragonfire shield or elysian spirit shield. Using protect from magic will cover the magic weakness and K’ril will not use his prayer slam. With this method, Balfrug won’t attack, and the other bodyguards will have trouble hitting the player. The tank should use the 2 hits and walk under method explained above to attack K’ril.
The gear setup should focus more on offensive gear. The gear setup is similar to solo, but you consider swapping the Barrows gloves for ferocious gloves. At the start of the fight, the attackers should stand in one of the corners near the altar. This is the furthest distance from K’ril and allows prayer restoration after the fight. Attackers should only attack K’ril Tsutsaroth after the tank has hit him and drawn his attention. When K’ril starts to attack the tank, attackers should pray against the attack style of the minion that is aggressive to them and attack him. Note that attackers don’t have to do the 2 hits and walk under method.
Each K’ril Tsutsaroth kill is worth 91K GP. Experienced players can kill K’ril Tsutsaroth 26 times in one hour with the recommended skills and stats.
