This is easily the shortest and simplest quest in the Recipe for Disaster series, and it’s where the whole questline kicks off. It’s a great introduction to Recipe for Disaster and starts you on the path to unlocking better gloves, all the way up to Barrows gloves. It’s also one of those super chill quests where you’re basically just delivering items, so it’s quick to knock out.
Difficulty: Easy
Length: Very Short
Quest Completion Time
- Normal account: Less than 1 minute
- Ironman account: Around 3 minutes

Walkthrough of Another Cook Quest
I’d start with all the required items in your inventory so you don’t have to keep running back to Lumbridge.
Recommended: Lumbridge teleport (or home teleport)
- Teleport or run to Lumbridge then head to kitchen and talk to the Lumbridge Cook—he’ll explain he needs an eye of newt, a greenman’s ale, a rotten tomato, ashes, and a fruit blast to make a centennial feast. When talking to him, select dialogue option 1 four times. He’ll give you some tips about the items and 100 coins to go grab them..

Getting the items for the Dish
Bring: Eye of newt, Greenman’s ale, Rotten tomato, Ashes, and Fruit blast.
- After talking to the Lumbridge Cook, use the ashes on the fruit blast to make a Dirty Blast. Then, bring all the required items back to the Lumbridge Cook to complete the quest.
- Finally, head into the Lumbridge Castle dining room, and a cutscene will play to kick off the Recipe for Disaster series.
Rewards from Another Cook Quest

- 1 Quest Point
- Access to the Culinaromancer’s chest.
Completing this unlocks the Culinaromancer’s chest, which is a huge help—especially for Ironman accounts. You can now buy various cooking ingredients and items from the chest. Right-click it and select “buy-food” after the quest to see everything available. If you would like to continue the series and unlock the barrows, find the best path to follow in our barrow gloves guide.
