OSRS Solo Tempoross Guide: XP Rates & Rewards

OSRS Solo Tempoross Guide: XP Rates & Rewards

Tempoross is one of the recently added OSRS minigames that has changed the game of Fishing, combining it with a more diverse PVM combat style, returning one of the most AFK skills to one that has brought more activity to the game. It can be done in two ways: in the famous worlds where everyone goes, or by using the "solo" method, which we will explain later. This allows you to earn more permits per round, but without the help of other players, at first, it may seem difficult. Still, it is easier than it looks once you have learned the mechanics of the game. If you want to see more details about our general Tempoross Guide click here.

Tempoross Plugin (RuneLite)

Before you start, install the Tempoross Plugin on RuneLite.
It highlights:

  • Double fishing spots
  • Fire tiles
  • Colossal wave timers
  • Ammo crates and spirit pools

This makes tracking attacks and efficiency much easier, especially when soloing.

Gear Setup

  •   Wieldable Harpoon – Dragon Harpoon or others.
  •   Imcando Hammer – indestructible and counts as a wielded hammer.
  •   Spirit Angler Outfit or normal (if owned) – boosts Fishing XP.

Tip: Barbarian-trained players can barehand fish, saving inventory space.

Inventory

You can find all necessary tools on the ship:

  • Harpoons
  • Buckets
  • Ropes
  • Hammers (for repairs)

However, for solo runs, it’s best to bring your own setup ready before boarding.

Tempoross Fight (Solo Strategy)

  • Start by fishing 16 Harpoonfish.
  • Cook them on the altar while
  • Once full inventory → Cook at least 16 fish.
  • Load the 16 cooked fish into the ammo crates to reduce Tempoross’s energy to 0%.
  • Extinguish fires with buckets.
  • Fish another 16 Harpoonfish, cook all, and prepare for the next phase, prioritize x2 fishing spots.

  • When Tempoross's essence reaches 0% it will sink into the water and you will finally be able to attack its energy (hitpoints), reaching the Spirit Pool and using your Harpoon on it. No waves, no lightning, no distractions. Just a calm fishing grind

Repeat all steps exactly — fish, cook, load, extinguish, and attack.
Once Tempoross’s hitpoints hits 0%, the fight ends.

Congratulations — you’ve just defeated Tempoross solo!

By maintaining control of his energy and mastering the solo phases, you’ll consistently get maximum points and 9 permits per game. It’s relaxing, efficient, and rewarding

Still Struggling?

If you can’t get consistent solo wins yet:

  • Make sure you’re cooking 16 fish minimum during Phase 1.
  • Keep Tempoross’s energy under 10% always.
  • Use RuneLite’s plugin to track fires, double spots, and energy bars (highly recommended)

Once you master the first 9 minutes, every run after becomes smooth and nearly AFK.

Conclusion

Tempoross is one of the least stressful PvM bosses since it involves the fishing skill. At first, it may seem intimidating, but in short, it's easier than it seems. If you want us to do the hard work for you, you can purchase our Tempoross Services by clicking here.
