OSRS Death Plateau Quest Guide

Death Plateau is a short quest where the player helps the Burthorpe Imperial Guard gain access to the Death Plateau to defeat hostile trolls.

General Questing recommendations

• Enable RuneLite Quest Helper in your RuneLite plugin section. 
• Hold your space bar to skip through NPC dialog, and use number keys for chatting dialog.

Obtaining required items for ironman

• 60 coins
• Premade blurb: This cannot be bought from the Grand Exchange. They can be bought from the Barman in the Burberry bar in Gnome Stronghold for 30 GP. The Burberry bar is on the 2nd floor in the Gnome stronghold. Climb up the stairs from the bottom, then turn east.

• Iron bar: Can smith from iron ore in a furnace. 

• Bread: can be bought from a Wydin’s food store in Port Sarim.

• Trout: can be obtained by fly-fishing.

Walkthrough for Death Plateau

• Talk to Denulth in Burthorpe. You can get there with the Burthope minigame teleport or a Games necklace. Reply 1, 1.

• Ask Eohric, upstairs in Burthope Castle.

• Talk to Harold, upstairs in the bar in Burthope. Reply 1.

• Go back to Eohric, upstairs in the Burthope castle.
• Take an Asgarnian Ale from the bar.

• Talk to Harold, upstairs in the bar. Reply 3 to give him the Blurberry special.
• Gamble with Harold (101 coins to immediately bankrupt him). Reply 2 and then enter the 101 coins to quickly bankrupt him.
• Read the IOU, and then the combination for the end of the quest.
• Go back to Burthope Castle, and place the coloured stone balls. The correct combination code for the storage room is shown below.

• Enter the cave northwest of Burthorpe.

• Talk to Saba in the cave.

• Go northwest of Burthope, then south at the fork, and talk to Tenzing. Reply 1.

• Talk to Dunstan at the anvil in Burthorpe, then talk to Denulth, where you started the quest.

• Talk to Dunstan to exchange the climbing boots and iron bar for spiked boots.
• Bring the spiked boots, along with 10 bread and 10 trout to Tenzing.
• Exit Tenzing’s house through the north door, climb over the stile, and go north, past the Death Plateau warning.

• Go back and talk to Denulth, where you started the quest, giving him the secret map and combination to complete the quest.
