OSRS Misthalin Mystery Quest Guide

Misthalin Mystery quest takes place in the Draynor manor and is about Abigale, who seeks help for her injured boyfriend, Hewery, after being attacked by an unknown figure. It has no requirements and is quite short.

• Hold your space bar to skip through NPC dialog, and use number keys for chatting dialog.

All these items can be obtained during the quest, so you don’t need to obtain them yourself.

Walkthrough for Misthalin Mystery

• Talk to Abigale in the southeast corner of the Lumbridge swamp and reply 1 to start the quest. 
• Board the boat south to get to the Manor. 

• Go west and pick up the bucket next to the fountain if you don’t have one, then search the barrel of rainwater to start a cutscene.

• After the cutscene, use the bucket of water on the barrel of rainwater and search it afterward to get a key.
• Enter the Manor using the door shown in the image above
• Take the knife on the table, then try to enter Door 1 shown below to start a cutscene.

• After the cutscene, pick up the note that appears beside your character and read it.
• Enter Door 2 in the image above, use a knife on the painting, and then search the painting to find a key.

• Exit the room through Door 2 and enter Door 3.
• Search the shelves there for a tinderbox and use it on the unlit candles to light them. After lighting them, use the tinderbox on the fuse and leave the room.

• Enter the room after the explosion and climb over the damaged wall.

• Run to the northern part of the Manor to start a cutscene. Reply with any answer during the cutscene. After the cutscene, a note will appear beside your character. Pick it up and read it.

• Click the piano shown above to play it. Play D key, E key, A key, and D key again in that order, then right-click and search the piano to find an emerald key.
• Go back and climb over the damaged wall and pass through the doors shown with the arrows below. Trying to enter the last door to the west will start a cutscene. Press space to go through the conversation.

• After the cutscene, pick up the note that appears and read it.
• Go to the room below and use your knife on the fireplace highlighted.

• Search the fireplace, and the gemstone switch panel will appear on your screen. Click Sapphire, Diamond, Zenyte, Emerald, Onyx, and Ruby in that order, then search the fireplace to get a sapphire key.

• Leave the room through the south door and go west to the sapphire door shown below. This will trigger a cutscene.

Final Puzzle

• After the cutscene, your character will start in the center of the room. For the final puzzle, push the mirror so it directly faces the wardrobe marked by a black swirl—the one where the knife will be thrown. If you align the mirror before the knife is thrown, it will reflect the attack and damage the killer. 
• Note that you can only push the mirror in the direction that your character is facing. You also have to place the mirror correctly before the wardrobe door opens. If you are late, the knife will ricochet off the mirror and will not damage the killer.

• After hitting the killer successfully three times, a cutscene will start. Press the space bar to go through the conversation.
• After the cutscene, pick up the killer’s knife beside your character, left-click Abigale to fight her (no real combat will occur), then attempt to leave the room through the Sapphire door for a cutscene to start.
• After the cutscene, talk to Mandy outside the Manor and press the space bar through the conversation to complete the quest.
