OSRS Plague City Quest Guide

Plague City is the first quest in the Elf quest series. It involves investigating a plague that has affected West Ardougne.

General Questing recommendations

• Enable RuneLite Quest Helper in your RuneLite plugin section. 
• Hold your space bar to skip through NPC dialog, and use number keys for chatting dialog. 

Item Requirements for Plague City

All of these items can be bought from the Grand Exchange on normal accounts.

• Dwellberries
• Spade
• Rope
• Bucket of milk
• Chocolate dust
• Snape grass

Obtaining the required items on Ironman

Ironman accounts have to obtain the required items through the following methods.

• Dwellberries: These can be picked from McGrubor’s wood.
• Spade: They can be bought from any general store.

• Rope: They can be bought from any general store.

• Bucket of milk: Can be obtained from milking cows in Lumbridge.
• Chocolate dust: A Chocolate bar can be bought from the baker's stall in Ardougne. Use a pestle and mortar on it to get Chocolate dust.
• Snape grass: These can be found in Hosidius. On the Northeastern peninsula, which is filled with Hobgoblins.

Recommendations for Plague City

• 4 buckets of water
• 30GP to take a boat from Rimmington to Ardougne

It has no skill or quest requirements.

Walkthrough of Plague City

• Bring all required items to Edmond in the northwest corner of East Ardougne. Reply 1, 1 to start the quest. 

• Talk to Alrena around the house, then pick up the portrait in the house.

• Talk to Edmond again.
• Use 4 buckets of water on the farm. If you don’t have buckets of water, pick up a bucket on the farm and use it on the sink in the house to fill it. 

• Dig to enter the hole.

• Run south and attempt to open the grill.

• Use a rope on the grill.
• Talk to Edmond, who should now be in the sewer with you.

• After the cutscene, equip the Gas mask and climb up the pipe.
• Speak to Jethick, east of where you emerge. Reply 1 to receive a book.

• Enter the building north.

• Talk to Martha or Ted Renison in the building.

• Climb up the stairs in the building and talk to Milli Rehnison.

• Exit the building and run to the plague house on the southeast corner of West Ardougne.

• Try to open the door and reply 2.

• Run to the large building north of the Manhole.

• Talk to the Clerk and reply 1, 3.

• Talk to Bravek in the room to the east. Reply 1, 3, then use the bucket of milk on the chocolate dust in your inventory. Use the chocolate milk on the Snape grass.

• Talk to Bravek again. Reply 3.
• Try to enter the Plague house again and search the barrel there. Then walk down the spooky stairs west.

• Enter the Jail and talk to Elena.

• Exit the building, climb down the hole at the center of the city, climb up the mudhole, and talk to Edmond to complete the quest.
