Daddy’s Home is a short, beginner-friendly miniquest that introduces you to the Construction skill. There are no quest or skill requirements, and by the end of it, you’ll unlock your Player-Owned House and get enough XP to jump straight to level 8 Construction. I always recommend doing this miniquest first before training Construction—it saves time and gives you a solid head start.
Difficulty: Easy
Length: Very short
Time to complete: ~4 minutes
Main benefit: Unlocks Construction + gives you a free POH
For the smoothest experience:
Enable RuneLite Quest Helper — it highlights all the furniture you need to destroy or build.
Hold the spacebar to skip dialogue quickly.
Use number keys to select chat options; they also work while building furniture.
I recommend you bring all items required when starting so you don't have to go to the bank throughout the quest.

Yarlo asks you to clear out his ruined house. Quest Helper makes this part really easy by highlighting everything.

Check out the image above to see the locations of all the furniture that you should destroy.
Right-click each furniture and click "destroy" to destroy the furniture.
Destroy the following:
|
Furniture |
Materials Needed |
XP |
|
Carpet |
3 bolts of cloth |
45 XP |
|
Wooden Stool ×2 |
2 planks + 4 nails total |
30 XP each |
|
Wooden Table ×2 |
6 planks + 8 nails total |
87 XP each |
|
Wooden Chair |
2 planks + 2 nails |
58 XP |
|
Waxwood Bed |
3 waxwood planks + 2 bolts of cloth |
207 XP |
After removing everything, talk to Yarlo again. a short Construction demonstration cutscene will start.
Now rebuild everything you just destroyed. You might fail occasionally if you run out of nails, which is why bringing extras helps.
Important:
Everything can be built immediately except the bed, which needs waxwood planks.
How to get waxwood planks
Search the kitchen crates to get 3 waxwood logs.

Return to the house and finish building the following:
Talk to Yarlo once everything is built.
Return to Marlo to claim your rewards.

Why I Always Recommend Daddy’s Home
This is hands down one of the fastest ways to unlock Construction and skip the slow early levels. The free materials alone make it worth doing, especially if you’re new or playing Ironman. If you’re planning to train Construction at all, this miniquest should always be your first stop.
