OSRS Sheep Herder Quest Guide

Sheep Herder is a part of the Elf quest series. The player’s target for the quest is to herd the sick sheep, kill them, and dispose of their remains to prevent the plague from spreading to the town. It is a lot difficult than it sounds, as herding the sheep can be somewhat challenging.

General Questing recommendations

• Enable RuneLite Quest Helper in your RuneLite plugin section. 
• Hold your space bar to skip through NPC dialog, and use number keys for chatting dialog. 

It has no skill, quest, or item requirements. However, you should bring stamina potions to make it a lot easier.

Walkthrough of Sheep Herder

• Talk to Councillor Halgrive, outside the East Ardougne church. Reply 1 to start the quest. The fastest way to get here is with the Ardougne teleport or by taking the boat from Rimmington for 30GP.

• Talk to Doctor Orbon in the East Ardougne church, north of Councillor Halgrive, to get plague jackets and plague trousers.

• Wear the plague jackets and plague trousers. Enter the enclosure, north of Ardougne, and pick up the nearby cattleprod.

Herding the Sick Sheep into the Enclosure

Herding the sheep into the enclosure can be tricky, as they often wander off in random directions. The best strategy is to keep your run energy on and spam-click the sheep to keep it moving. Stand behind the sheep to prod it to make it move in that direction. It might take a few tries to get used to it, but with a bit of practice, it becomes easier.

• Equip the cattle prod and prod one of the blue sheep north-west of the enclosure to the enclosure gate.

• Prod one of the yellow sheep north of the enclosure to the enclosure gate.

• Prod one of the green sheep east of the enclosure to the enclosure gate.

• Prod one of the red sheep southeast of the enclosure to the enclosure gate.

• Enter the enclosure, use the sheep feed on the sheep to kill them, and pick up the bones.

• Incinerate the bones by using each of them on the incinerator. 

• Return to Councillor Halgrive to complete the quest.
