OSRS Araxyte Slayer Task Guide: Strategy & Gear Setup

Araxytes are high-level spiders assigned as a Slayer task by Nieve and Duradel/Kuradal after completion of Priest in Peril. Turael/Aya and Spria can also assign them, albeit indirectly, as a spider's task. They require 92 Slayer to be an available task. They provide fast Slayer XP and are generally quick kills for task streaking and points. A dwarf multicannon can also be used to speed up kills, although it is not necessary if you do not have one. This guide is for a boss variant.

Location

They are located in the Cave north of Ver Sinhaza and south of Port Phasmaty, northwest of Slepe.

• Moritanya Spider Nest Cave, north-west of Slepe

• Entry requires starting the completion of Priest in Peril.

1.   Drakan's Medallon to Ver Sinhaza âž” run north.
2.   Spider Cave Teleport âž” Enter Cave.
3.   Ectophial âž” run north-east to the Rowboat to Slepe (10,000 Coins fee) âž” Run north

Strategy & Tips

Always use Protect from Melee - they attack exclusively with melee if not using safespot
Auto Retaliate: Stay between two Araxytes aggressive at you for constant kills.
Expeditious bracelets can speed up task completion if focusing on the points.
Cannon cannot be used against Araxytes, and it's highly recommended due to the speed of the tasks.

Cannonspot for Araxytes

In this cannon spot, there are only Araxytes, you don't have to worry about spending cannonballs on others NPCs.

Safespot for Araxytes

There are a few corners in the Spider Cave where you can safespot Araxytes using ranged or magic, but it is generally slower than using melee with prayer. Most players do not use safespots due to the aggressive behavior and low damage. Although some people enjoy the experience of playing AFK, they go for the safe spots. There are plenty of safe spots here, for example, this one further to the entrance. There are plenty like this one on every corner of the place.

Conclusion

Araxytes are an efficient, low-attention Slayer task once unlocked at 93 Slayer. With no dangerous mechanics and fast respawns, they are perfect for maintaining task streaks, farming points, or quick XP boosts on your journey to 99 Slayer. This monster is perfect for Ironman accounts that want to gather items for their future skills, as well as for normal accounts in terms of generating money per hour.
