OSRS Best POH Layouts For Max Efficiency

OSRS Best POH Layouts For Max Efficiency

Today, we're going to learn how to create a perfect house in terms of having the necessary tools to improve our gameplay as we progress in OSRS.

A player-owned house can be built starting at level 50, where we can already create several features and save time. Ideally, you'd have 99 Construction for a perfect house, but from level 84, you can already build most of the features a POH provides. We will learn what materials we need up to the required levels and how to boost them correctly so that we can build them before we have the required construction level. Do you want any help with setting up your own house? Then check out our OSRS minigame services page and look for POH setup.

Why do we recommend 84 Construction?

Because with a boost from having a Crystal Saw and, with some luck, using Orange Spices in Stews, we'll have a chance to boost our Construction level to 92 for a few seconds. We'll use this time to create what we need, and that's it (you have to be quick because the boost runs out).

First, we'll start with how to build an efficient house with only a 50 construction level. Although it's low-level, you can still build things that will help you save time in your OSRS life.

50+ Construction House

If I only have 50 Construction, can I start building my house?

Of course! From level 50 onwards, you can have several types of portals that function as infinite teleports, as well as mount a Glory on the wall, which also makes it infinite and saves you thousands of coins and the tedious time of buying and selling Glorys. We'll see how to build these later. However, we still recommend leveling up to 84 Construction since it's quick and easy. If this skill isn't to your liking, you can check out our skilling services, and our staff can level it up for you in less than a day.

Portal Teleports

Materials:

  • x2 Limestone Bricks
  • x9 Teak Planks
  • x100 Rune teleports you to the chosen location

Here you can choose from 30 options to suit your needs. You can always create more rooms and more portal teleports. We recommend having 84 Construction skill to build the Crystalline Portal Nexus, which is a single portal with up to 21 options to set without having to run to another portal. But this is a good option until you reach the required level.

Mounted Wall Glory (Infinity teleports)

This is one of my favorite features of the POH since they only require 47 construction level, 3 teak planks, and a glory (uncharged) to be able to mount one on the wall and be able to obtain infinite teleports for any option that the amulet of glory offers us.

Materials:

  • x1 Build a Quest Hall Room
  • x1 Uncharged Glory
  • x3 Teaks Planks

Combat Dummy

A Combat Dummy is similar to a punching bag, but it will always reflect your maximum hit with any weapon you land a hit on. This is necessary for several things in OSRS, such as being sure of your DPS potential. There are also tricks, like using a Special Attack with an Ancient Mace, which means that even if your Prayer is maxed out, it will be increased by the maximum hit of your Ancient Mace on the Combat Dummy. This can be useful for completing quests that require Prayer, such as Legend's Quest, without reaching the required Prayer level.

Ç

Materials:

  • x5 Teak Planks
  • x4 Bolt of Cloth
  • x5 Bucket of Sand

Attacking this combat dummy will show you the maximum hit, whether you attack with a weapon or unarmed. The best part about this feature is that it doesn't require a high construction level, only level 48, making it perfect to consider when starting to build a house.

84+ Construction House

Once you reach this level, with the help of the boost RNG and a Crystal Saw obtained from the Eyes of Glouphrie quest, you can reach the required levels to build what you need and leave it in your house permanently, even after the boost has worn off.

Our POH will include:

Ornate Pool of Rejuvenation

Materials:

  • x5 Limestone Brick
  • x5 Bucket of Water
  • x1000 Body Runes
  • x1000 Soul Runes
  • x1000 Blood Runes
  • x10 Stamina Potions
  • x10 Prayer Potions
  • x10 Super Restore Potions
  • x2 Marble Block
  • x10 Anti-venom
  • x5 Gold leaf

Once we have all the materials, we first need to un-note from the bank the required materials for the first pools, as our 28-slot inventory will not be enough, and we will have to make several trips to complete our mission to build a Rejuvenation Pool.

Occult Altar

This is an altar that allows us to swap our Lunar, Ancients, Arceus, and normal Magic Spellbooks, which is perfect to have on for different activities we do in the game, since the real altars are super far away, and it would take a lot of time every time we need a simple spellbook swap.

Materials:

  • x1 Pharaoh’s Sceptre
  • x3 Magic Stone
  • x30 Limestone bricks
  • x2 Lunar Signet (Obtained in Lunar’s Isle at Baba Yaga’s House)
  • x3 Arceuus Signet (Obtained in Arceuus Altar, talking to Tyss)
  • x2 Ancient Signet (Obatained talking with Elbis at Desert)
  • x20000 Blood Runes
  • x20000 Astral Runes
  • x20000 Soul Runes

To build this altar, you'll also need to go to the bank several times, as your inventory space won't hold that many materials. It takes a few trips, but once it's finished, it's one of the features you'll use most in your POH.

Ornate Jewelry Box

This is personally one of my favorite features that our OSRS house can offer, since with just a few pieces of jewellery, it gives us the opportunity to teleport infinitely without having to waste space in our bank and worrying about which ones we need to recharge and which ones we don't. With this feature, that's over! This is how it's built.

Materials:

  • x1 Bolt of cloth
  • x1 Steel Bar
  • x4 Gold leaf
  • x3 Games necklace (8)
  • x3 Ring of Dueling (8)
  • x5 Combat Bracelet (4)
  • x5 Skill Necklace (4)
  • x8 Amulet of Glory (4)
  • x8 Ring of Wealth (5)

Since we have the Crystal Saw boost, we'll just need a lucky shot by eating an Orange Stew to get our Construction level to 91, so we can build the final form of this jewelry box.

Crystalline Portal Nexus

This is a portal that can save up to 21 teleport slots to different locations. Many OSRS players recommend having this portal and also maintaining another room with more portals to be able to reach every corner of OSRS from your PoH.

Materials:

  • x8 Morble blocks
  • x2 Gold leaf
  • x2 Magic Stone

When building the portal, we can right-click on Configuration and set 4 teleport slots at level 72 construction, 8 slots at level 82 construction, and 21 teleport slots infinitely on 90 construction. A total of x1000 runes of the desired teleport are needed to be deposited in order to use it infinitely afterwards.

Xeric’s Talisman and Digsite Pendant

These 2 mounted amulets are built in the same room where the Nexus Portal is built, more specifically, in front of the portal. Once you finish building them, you will have these options to teleport infinitely without having to worry about tediously carrying your Xeric's Talisman or your Digsite Pendant.

Materials:

  • x1 Xeric’s Talisman (inert) (Killing Lizardman)
  • x1 Curator’s Medallion (1 digsite pendant of any charge, 250 cut rubies, 500 fire rune,s and talk to Curator Haig Halen at Varrock Museum)
  • x2 Gold leaf
  • x2 Mahogany Planks
  • x5000 Lizardman Fang

Wilderness Obelisk

This feature, which you can build in your house, is a great time-saver while doing various things like Clue Scroll steps, bossing, PvM, etc. To have an Obelisk in your house, simply build a Superior Garden in your House and construct it in the Teleport Space (middle).

It only requires 80 construction points and the following materials:

Materials:

  • x4 Ancient Crystal
  • x4 Marble Block

Once the Obelisk is finished, you can teleport randomly to the Wilderness and to different Obelisks. Be careful, as other players can attack you and steal your belongings; it's advisable not to carry valuables when using it.

Note: If you have completed the Wilderness diaries, you can choose exactly which Obelisk you want to be teleported to.

Spirit Tree & Fairy Ring

Having a Fairy Ring in your own house becomes the fastest way to reach both a Fairy Ring and a Spirit Tree with a single teleport (teleport to house), so it's highly recommended to build it as quickly as possible once you have the requirements.

  • Building a Fairy Ring requires only 85 Construction
  • Building a Spirit Tree requires only 75 Construction & 83 Farming
  • Building a Spirit Tree & Fairy Ring combined requires 95 Construction & 83 Farming

There's also the option of building a Fairy Ring and a Spirit Tree in the same spot to save time, although this requires 95 Construction. If you don't have this level, you can build them separately, but they will be farther away. Here’s an example:

To build a Spirit Tree and a Fairy Ring combined, you will need the following materials:

Materials:

  • x1 Spirit Sapling
  • x10 Mushrooms
  • x1 Fairy Enchant (bought for 100 coins from Fairy Fixit's Fairy Enchantment after completing Fairytale II)
  • x1 Watering Can

Once you've built it, make sure to place it as close as possible (next to) the entrance portal so that it takes the fewest seconds possible every time you use it.

Trophy Room

This is one of the less important rooms, but I don't want to leave it out, as it can also save a bit of bank space—and, at the same time, you can use it to show off all your Elite achievements in OSRS.

To build a Thropy Room you will need the following materials:

Materials:

  • x20 Limestone Bricks
  • x3 Ropes
  • x3 Red Dyes
  • x10 Oak Planks
  • Papyrus Gold Leaf

Pet Store Room

Depending on your Construction level, you will be able to store a specific number of pets, with the maximum being 92.

To build a Pet Store Room, you will need the following materials:

Materials:

  • x5 Teak Planks
  • x4 Oak Planks
  • x10 Mahogany Planks
  • x1 Limestone Brick
  • x1 Magic Stone
  • x2 Bucket of Water
  • x3 Supercompost

Costumer Store Room (Save Bank Space)

This is one of the rooms that will save you the most bank space; it can help you save over 500 slots thanks to the sheer number of costumes it can store. Each chest and wardrobe can hold a specific quantity of items.

To build a Costumer Store Room you will need the following materials:

Materials:

  • x25 Oak Planks

99+ Construction House

With a higher Construction skill level, we can improve the customization of our buildings, but their functionality will remain largely the same. Going over 90, construction is more about aesthetics and making your house look nice than about functionality.

In this blog, we've only covered some of the features that our POH offers, but there's still a whole world to explore. There are many more features we can use, such as wardrobes to save bank space without having to drop items. We can keep our pets safe inside our house, build a lectern to create tabs with magic, and much more, which you'll discover as you level up Construction. I recommend going to world level 330 and looking at other players' houses to get an idea of what you want to do.

Spiritual Fairy Ring

A combination of a Spirit Tree and a Fairy Ring in the same spot, so you don't have to build them in separate rooms

+8 (Stew + Saw)

  95

(87 with Crsytal Saw + Boost)

  83

(77 with Boost)

Ordering Rooms

To move the rooms in your POH to your liking, simply go to the settings section and then click on the house. Don't worry, it's free, and you can try many different arrangements. Just take your time, be patient, and make sure you place the rooms in the most efficient ways because, as they say, time is money.

Ultimately, there's no single perfect guide for building a PoH. Let your imagination fly and arrange it your way!
