OSRS Brimhaven Agility Arena Guide: XP Rates & Tickets
this OSRS Brimhaven Agility Arena Guide shows how to play the Brimhaven agility course, with the experience rates, and the rewards from playing the course.
Whether you're grinding towards that run-energy quality of life, chasing the cape, or just trying to unlock a specific shortcut, this is the only Agility guide you need. I've spent more hours on rooftops than I care to admit. I've tested methods most guides don't even mention, made every mistake in the book, and come back to write what I wish someone had told me from the start.
This guide is structured sequentially, meaning you can follow it from level 1 all the way to 99 without jumping around. Every section builds on the last. I've also included full breakdowns of every major method, including the newer additions like the Prifddinas Agility Course, Colossal Wyrm, and Brimhaven Arena, plus doing other skills while Agility, such as Fletching, the Agility Pet chances, and honest takes on what's actually worth your time.
If you find training Agility boring and time-consuming, let our expert workers handle it. Check out our Powerleveling Services here.
Let's get into it!
In my opinion, Agility is a kind of skill where the benefits are invisible until they're everywhere. When you're at level 20, it doesn't feel like it matters. When you're at level 80, you can barely imagine playing without it, and yeah, it’s true. The run energy difference between level 1 and level 70 is staggering; it's genuinely one of the most impactful skill upgrades in the game.
With that being said, I'm not going to pretend this is a fun grind. It isn't. Compared to other skills like Runecrafting or Slayer for XP per hour, at least Agility has a clear method and a clear path. You always know exactly what to do next.
Don't rush to 99 right away unless you specifically want the cape or shortcuts. Get to 60–70, grab your Graceful, and revisit when you're ready for the full grind. Don't burn out trying to get 99 in one sitting. Because, to be very honest, it isn't an easy skill to grind. I wouldn't recommend you burn yourself out doing 99 in it.
Before starting this agility guide, I would like to share some tips and tricks to save you time and make your agility training more efficient.
Before the Graceful set, I was constantly running out of energy. After getting the full suit, everything felt smoother, less stopping, more consistent laps, and overall better XP per hour.
You can start training at the wilderness agility course at Level 47 of Agility by eating Summer Pie, which boosts your agility level by +5 and also restores 11 HP. It is very useful, especially in the wilderness, for restoring Health and boosting Agility.
I don’t just sip it randomly. I wait until my run energy drops a bit, around 30-40%, then take a dose, so I’m constantly moving. If you let your character walk even for a few seconds every lap, it will cost you XP loss.
I personally suggest keeping the camera far away, and keeping it right above the player will make the obstacles clear to see. Enable Expand Pitch Limit in the Camera plugin. I use it to get a more zoomed-out top-down view, which makes it easier to see multiple obstacles ahead.

Yes! You heard that right, in Brimhaven arena, you can also train your Fletching (for instance, making Headless Arrows by combining Feathers and Arrow Shafts). Here’s the breakdown:
You get 30-40 seconds of gap after tagging, so why don’t you waste that time and Fletch something out? Create Headless Arrows or Darts, which give a decent amount of XP in that time instead of waiting for the next pillar to tag.

When I train Agility, I almost always bring nature runes and other items to alch using High Level Alchemy. My method is simple: I cast Alch right after clicking an obstacle, during the brief animation when my character is already moving, which makes it feel almost seamless. Once you get into the rhythm, it barely affects your Agility XP, and you end up getting free Magic experience alongside your training, which makes it one of the most efficient ways to multitask.
Before training any method, either rooftop or any other agility training method, I strongly recommend that you complete the quests that I mentioned below if you want to complete 99 Agility fast. These two quests will save you 2-3 hours of grind.
Tourist Trap: Completing this quest will reward 2 XP lamps each 4650 XP use both on Agility, and you’ll get 9300 XP without any struggle.
The grand tree: This quest will give you 7900 XP for Agility

Completing these quests will get you straight from Level 1 to 32. Other quests are generally not worth it, since they take too much time for the XP they give.
NOTE: Complete the above quests in a sequence, first Tourist Trap and then The Grand Tree.
After completing quests, the first step in our roadmap is the Varrock Rooftop Course. This unlocks at level 30 of Agility.
Requirement: Agility level 30
XP/hr: 14k-15k
Teleportation Method: Varrock Teleport
Varrock is the course where the XP starts to feel meaningful. At around 14k XP per hour, you're actually making visible progress on the skill. This course takes you across Varrock's rooftops over the clothes shop, the pub, and the palace walls, and it flows nicely once you've memorised it.
More importantly, Varrock has a decent Mark of Grace drop rate. Keep collecting them. By now, you should have your eye on the Canifis course coming up at 40, which is where the grind truly starts to shift in your favour. You can finish the Varrock course in about one and a half hours in one sitting.

Requirement: 200gp Entrance Fee
XP/hr: Depends on Agility level (25k-90k)
Teleportation Method: Amulet of Glory - Karamja
Brimhaven is a totally different beast. It’s a game of “tag” instead of jumping between roofs. It’s definitely more engaging than rooftops, but it can be a bit frustrating if you're not prepared. Let me explain it to you:
Every 60 Seconds, a pillar in the arena starts flashing. Your goal is to navigate the traps and tag that pillar before the timer hits zero to get an Agility Ticket. You then trade those tickets in for huge chunks of XP. It's like a minigame, feels different from everything else in Agility training.
As I mentioned above under the General efficiency tips, in the Brimhaven arena, you can also train your Fletching (for instance, making Headless Arrows by combining Feathers and Arrow Shafts). Here’s the breakdown:
You get 30-40 seconds of gap after tagging, so why waste that time and fletch something out? Create Headless Arrows or Darts, which give a decent amount of XP (you can also sell them on GE with profit ) in that time instead of waiting for the next pillar to tag.
If you've been grinding rooftops for weeks and want to do something genuinely different for an afternoon, Brimhaven Arena is your answer. If you’re an Ironman, then those herbs will help you make Potions for Herblore because collecting them as an Iron is a really tough grind, and the gameplay is engaging. I recommend doing Brimhaven at level 52; it is much faster than any rooftop course between levels 50 and 52.

Requirement: Agility 52 level
XP/Hour: ~60k
Teleportation Method: Ice Plateau Teleport (Fastest)
The Wilderness Agility Course starts from 52 agility level. The main danger in this course is that it is set in level 50–55 Wilderness, which means you can and will get PKed if you're not careful. The XP difference is not that much compared to other rooftop courses.
This course is also known as the best money-making method during training. After paying 150K gp to the dispenser, you’ll get random loot after every lap, and the loot increases with the lap count. Around 50-60 laps, you start to have some really good loot. Therefore, it's also known as a good money-making method, but always beware of PKers.
I've been personally killed in this course multiple times. The risk is completely real, and some worlds have dedicated gangs farming players there. Only do this if you're comfortable with the risk and have accepted that you may lose your run value.
NOTE: Avoid this method if you’re an HCIM account

Requirements: 62 Agility (Floor 2), Sins of the Father Quest
XP/hr: Depends on level (40k- 100k)
Teleportation Method: Drakan's Medallion

To train the 99 Agility fast, you have to stick to the Hallowed Sepulchre from level 62 and all the way up to level 99, where you can achieve around 100k XP/hr, which is the highest XP/hr in this level range, which makes it the best and fastest Agility XP method in the game, but it has a steep learning curve. I’m linking a video by Lumbridge Lounge below because seeing the movement is way better than reading about it. Here is the “too long; didn't read” version of his best tips:
When you start, wear Graceful. Once you earn enough Hallowed Marks, buy the Hallowed Ring immediately. Trust me on this. Usually, if you fail an obstacle, you're stuck in a long “fading to black” animation. The ring teleports you back to the checkpoint instantly, which makes the whole thing less tilting and much faster.
The above path is by far the fastest way to train Agility 1-99, but it does require focus and precise decision-making, especially in Hallowed Sepulchre. But it's not the only route, and for many players, mixing in alternative methods and doing rooftop keeps the grind from becoming soul-crushing. These are all the major alternative methods, with honest opinions on when they're worth it and when they're not.
Requirements: None
XP/hr: ~8k
Teleportation Method: Amulet of Glory - Draynor Village
This is the first course where you can start collecting Marks of Grace. We know that it is essential to buy the Graceful Set, as it reduces your weight and speeds up energy restoration.
You can expect roughly 8k XP per hour. While this may sound low, it only takes about 30 minutes of consistent training to reach Level 20.
But again, I would recommend you complete the above-mentioned quests to skip this starter course.
Requirements: Agility 20 Level
XP/hr: 9k-10k
Teleportation Method: Amulet of Glory - Al Kharid
After you hit Level 20 Agility in Draynor Village, the Al Kharid Rooftop Course comes as your primary training ground until you hit Level 30. It’s located right in the middle of Al Kharid, and it’s a significant step up from Draynor in terms of both layout and XP. Depending on how focused you are, Al Kharid will roughly give you 9k-10k XP per hour.
Requirement: Agility level 30
XP/hr: 14k-15k
Teleportation Method: Varrock Teleport
Varrock Rooftop is the course where the XP starts to feel meaningful.

Requirements: Agility level 40 and Priest in Peril Quest
XP/hr: 15k-18k
Teleportation Method: Fenkenstrain’s Castle Teleport
I recommend you stay longer at Canifis Rooftop Course due to the really nice drop rates of Mark of Grace and a decent amount of XP; it also has shorter laps.
Most resources out there tell you to leave Canifis at level 50, but in my case, I wouldn’t. Stay here until you have enough Marks to exchange for a Graceful outfit. It has the highest drop rates of Marks without requiring any Hard or Elite diary.
I got my full Graceful set at around level 56 by sticking to Canifis longer than any guide recommended. That decision meant I never had to go back for marks, and not having to revisit lower-level courses is a massive time saver in the long run.

Requirements: Agility level 50
XP/hr: 30k-35k
Teleportation Method: Falador Teleport
I know you guys will say there’s a significant XP difference in Canifis and Falador, but don’t chase XP until you have a full Graceful set. So, stay in Canifis until you have enough Marks.
XP here is a solid 30k per hour, which feels noticeably better than Canifis. The course is click-intensive enough that you can't really AFK it, but the rhythm is learnable. Give yourself 10 laps to memorise the route before you start worrying about speed.

Requirements: Agility level 60
XP/hr: 35k-40k
Teleportation Method: Camelot Teleport
Seers' Village is one of the most XP-efficient courses in the game when used correctly, and the word 'correctly' is doing a lot of work in that sentence. This course has a large gap jump that causes misclicks; camera position matters here. I already mentioned at the very beginning that we should expand the pitch limit in the Camera plugin.
Completing the Kandarin Hard Diary will give you around 15% More XP bonus in this course, because you can toggle your Camelot teleport just outside the Seer’s bank, where the Agility course begins. It will reduce the traversal time significantly, which will add around 10k XP to your XP/hr. So, if you want faster level-ups, completing the Kandarin Hard Diary is a must.

Requirements: Agility level 70
XP/hr: 55k-60k
Teleportation Methods: Shanty Pass Carpet to Pollnivneach or set House teleport in Pollnivneach
Pollnivneach Rooftop is the place where Agility stops feeling like punishment. I mean that genuinely. The course flows smoothly, the XP is decent too, and there's no annoying diary to worry about. You show up, run laps, and watch the XP roll in at 55k-60k per hour.
The course itself loops through the city using basket crosses, market stalls, tree climbs, and a final jump back to the start. Once you've done 20 laps, you'll have it memorised completely and can fall into a comfortable rhythm.

Requirements: Level 80 Agility
XP/hr: 60k-65k
Teleportation Methods: Fairy ring “CJR” or “DKS”
Rellekka opens at 80 and gives 60k-65k XP per hour, making it one of the best rooftop rates in the game. The course runs through the Viking village using rough walls, rope swings, and tightropes over the water. It's slightly more spread out than Pollnivneach, which gives it a more relaxed feel.
I found Rellekka to be one of the more enjoyable Agility Courses for the grind. Rellekka gives some of the best Marks of Grace rates at mid-game. Collect every one, you can use them to recolour your Graceful set.

Requirements: Agility 90 level
XP/hr: ~67k
Teleportation Method: Ardougne Teleport
Ardy Rooftop Course is the endgame rooftop course, and where most players finish their 99 journey. XP sits at around 67k per hour, which is slightly lower than Rellekka at its peak, but Ardougne compensates with the best late-game Mark of Grace rate of any rooftop course.
The last stretch from 90 to 99 requires roughly 7.6 million XP, which at 62k per hour works out to around 120 hours of active play. That sounds daunting, but broken into daily sessions, it's very achievable.
At level 95, something clicked for me mentally. I went from 'this is going to take forever' to 'I can actually see the finish line.' Don't give up in the final stretch. The pacing feels the same, but the end is genuinely close.

Requirements: Agility 75 level, Song of the Elves quest
XP/hr: ~60k
Teleportation Method: Teleport Crystal, Spirit Tree
The Prifddinas Agility Course, or Prif Course, is located inside the elven city and is genuinely one of the most underrated methods in the game. I know players who trained the majority of their 90-99 stretch here simply because it's considerably more relaxed than Ardougne while giving comparable XP.

Requirements: Agility 50 level
XP/hr: ~45k
Teleportation Method: Colossal Wyrm Teleport
The Colossal Wyrm course is a newer addition to OSRS and takes place in Varlamor. It opens at level 50, and its advanced course opens at level 62, giving 45k-55k XP per hour.
The course is unique because it actually uses the body of the colossal wyrm as the obstacle itself; you're running along its spine, jumping between its coils, and navigating around its movements. Besides that, during training Agility here, you can AFK for about 10-15 seconds between some obstacles.
This course also rewards you by collecting the Termites jar. Which you can use to exchange for an Amylase Pack costing 100 termites, a colossal wyrm teleport scroll for 40 termites, and two other items, which are a graceful crafting kit and a calcified acorn.

Requirement: Agility 52 level
XP/Hour: ~60K
GP/hr: ~2M - 2.5M
Teleportation Method: Ice Plateau Teleport (Fastest)
As we all know, it is one of the most important skills in OSRS, but it is also considered one of the most hated skills to train. You can make a good amount of money while training in Agility. It is also one of the best money-making methods in the Skilling category. You can reach up to 2.5M/hr if you maintain streaks in the wilderness agility course.
After paying 150k GP to the dispenser, you’ll get random loot after every lap, and the loot increases with the lap count. You need to maintain the streak to get a really good GP/hr. Let me tell you about streaks in this course.
A streak is a round trip of the Agility course. After every round trip of the course, your streak will increase by 1. To get the most from this course, you need to maintain a really good streak. The loot also increases with the number of streaks. Check out the following table to get an idea of the loot by streak.
| Consecutive Laps | Average loot per lap |
| 1-15 | 6,097 GP |
| 16-30 | 12,120 GP |
| 31-60 | 18,217 GP |
| 61+ | 24,989 GP |
So, as you can see above in the table, you need to maintain a 60+ streak in the Wilderness Agility Course to reach up to 2M/hr.
A Wilderness Agility Ticket is obtained from the dispenser after completion of each lap. It gives 200 base XP while redeeming at the same dispenser. If you redeem all of your tickets, e.g., 100+ tickets at once, the base XP increases from 200 to 230.

Now, let's have a talk about Gear setup for this course. As it is in the wilderness, the main drawback is being killed by a Pker. Because it's a Decent money-making method, it's a hot spot for PKers, and the cherry on top is that it is in a multi-combat zone, too. So, you have to be very careful while training on this agility course.
If you’re willing to risk around 250K, then this is the BIS (Best in Slot) gear for the wilderness agility course, and it is definitely a good choice for you with +308 Ranged Defence bonus and +49 Magic Defence too.

Or you can use Dinh’s bulwark instead of the Rune Crossbow and crystal shield.

Always use the Protect item Prayer in the Prayers tab, which is unlocked at 25 Prayer level. It will protect one extra item if you get killed by a PKer.

The following inventory setup is recommended, but you can adjust it to suit your priorities as well.
Keep 150K for dispenser’s fee, some Sara Brews, some blighted food and restores, and Ice Plateau teleport tab, wilderness sword if you’ve got one or you can use a knife too, a looting bag (if you’re wearing ring of wealth while paying the fee to the dispenser, then a looting bag will be automatically given in your inventory), keep an extra Phoenix Amulet too, it will help you to restore your HP by 30% if it is dropped below 20% while fighting.

You can use the nearest bank, Mage Arena bank, to bank your loot.

You must use the following wilderness plugins while training Agility. Not only during agility training, but you should also use them whenever there is anything to do in the wilderness. Personally, they’ve been really helpful to me.

You can also use another very useful plugin called “Large Logout Button”. It will make your logout button larger and help you log out instantly if a Pker comes.

You can search for “Large Logout Button” in the plugins section and install it.
I've been personally killed in this course multiple times. The risk is completely real, and some worlds have dedicated gangs farming players there. Only do this if you're comfortable with the risk and have accepted that you may lose your run value.
NOTE: Avoid this method if you’re an HCIM account
Suppose you’re low on GP and need to train Agility, to be more specific, if you’re an Ironman. Stop running rooftops for a little and head towards the Agility Pyramid in the Kharidian Desert. It’s one of the best ways in agility training, specifically if your account is Ironman. Then it is heaven for you guys.
Getting the Graceful outfit is a must-have if you're a serious player. It reduces your weight, which dramatically affects the rate at which you burn energy. The full set bonus adds 30% run energy restoration on top of that. It's one of the highest-impact items you can get for day-to-day gameplay, and it costs nothing except time at Agility.
The following table tells you how many Marks of Grace you need to collect for a graceful outfit.
| Piece | Mark of Grace |
| Hood | 35 |
| Top | 55 |
| Gloves | 30 |
| Legs | 60 |
| Boots | 40 |
| Cape | 40 |
| Total | 260 |

Canifis from level 40 to 55-58 is your golden window. The Mark of Grace spawn rate here is the highest of any rooftop course in the game. By the time I left Canifis at level 58, I had over 260 marks, enough for the entire outfit in one purchase. That's the goal. Don't rush off to Falador at 50, chasing XP, and end up having to backtrack to lower courses for marks later.

The Agility pet is a Giant Squirrel that follows you around. It's obtained as a random drop from Agility training, and like all skills pets, it's entirely RNG-based.

For the rooftop courses, your Pet's drop rate is based on the XP gained per action. Courses that give more XP per action have higher absolute chances of dropping the Pet per action.
In practice, what this means is: the Hallowed Sepulchre has dramatically better pet odds than any rooftop course. Floor 5 of the Sepulchre is by far the fastest way to get the Pet if you're hunting it specifically. The combination of high XP actions and the looting mechanic gives you roughly three times better pet odds than the Ardy rooftop at comparable play time.
Hunting Giant Squirrel intentionally adds more time to your training. Players have gotten it at level 45; others are still waiting at level 99. If you're a pet collector and specifically want it, train Hallowed Sepulchre as your primary method from 92 onward.
The most common mistake. Many Guides list Canifis as a 40-50 course, and people treat that as a hard minimum. The real sweet spot is staying at Canifis until you have full Graceful. Leaving at 50 for Falador costs you marks you'll need later.
Some rooftop courses will drain your run energy during the course itself. Not having Stamina Potions means walking sections, failing to time obstacles, and earning less XP per hour. Bring 1-2 doses per session.
Genuinely one of the highest-impact changes most players could make. A bad camera angle causes constant misclicks, and each misclick is your character's pathing going wrong, costing time and sometimes resulting in failed obstacle checks.
Jumping right into Hallowed Sepulchre without any know-how of it and quitting after 30 minutes because it's too complex. Watch a floor-specific guide first. Understand the patterns first. The Sepulchre is not difficult; it's pattern-based. But those patterns need to be learned before they click.
Agility is a long-term skill. Doing nothing but Ardougne for 100+ hours will make you hate your life. Throw a Sepulchre session, try Brimhaven Arena for a change. Variety isn't inefficient; it keeps you playing.
If you want to complete your 1-99 Agility journey fast, then follow the first route, including quests, Varrock rooftop, Brimhaven Arena, Wildy course, and then Sepulchre for 62-99. But if you don’t want to go to the Sepulchre side, prioritise Graceful at Canifis, push to 70 for Pollnivneach, where XP becomes comfortable, and decide between Ardougne and Sepulchre at 90+.
Agility is significantly more important for Ironmen because you can't buy Stamina Potions from other players. Prioritise graceful completion above everything else, and stay at Canifis until you have every piece of it. If you can risk 150K GP and your loot from the Wilderness agility course, then you should also train there. After that, you should definitely go for Sepulchre as it is one of the most efficient and rewarding methods in the game. You can find useful loot such as runes, bolts, and alchables; unique items such as the Ring of Endurance, which is extremely valuable if you’re an Ironman.
Additionally, the Agility Pyramid awards 10k GP per run at no cost other than time. In early ironman progression, where GP is genuinely tight, doing occasional pyramid runs is an easy income strategy alongside your Agility training.
Everything that applies to Ironman applies here, except the wilderness course. Never train at the Wilderness Agility Course as a Hardcore; a single PK death ends your status. While training at Hallowed Sepulchre, you also have to look at your Health, because you can also lose your Hardcore status if you don’t pay attention. Each trap damages -5 HP, and poison from chests -2 HP. So, it’ll be better if you bring some food.
Rooftop courses are entirely safe for level 3 accounts; no combat happens on rooftops. Follow the rooftop progression normally. Since these accounts have low hit points, make sure to bring some food to heal up.
Pures generally treat Agility as a utility skill rather than a grind goal. Get to 60-70 for meaningful run energy regen, pick up Graceful along the way, and call it done unless you specifically want shortcuts or the cape.
Agility is genuinely one of the hardest skills not to hate while you're training it. The early levels drag, the mid-game feels repetitive, and the thought of 150+ hours of obstacle courses is daunting when you're looking at it from the start.
But here's what I know from having done it multiple times across different accounts: the quality-of-life improvement is continuous. Every ten levels you gain, the game feels slightly better. Every shortcut you unlock saves you steps for the rest of your account's lifetime. Every session you finish gets you closer to a cape that will genuinely make you proud.
Don't grind it all in one brutal sitting. Build variety into your sessions. Try the Sepulchre when you're ready. Do a Brimhaven when you're bored. Come back to the rooftops when you're refreshed.
Good luck out there. The cape is worth it.
