OSRS Doric's Quest Guide

Doric's quest is a very short quest involving Doric the dwarf. It allows players to use his anvils after they go on an errand for him. It has no skill or quest requirements to do.  

Difficulty: easy

Length: very short

General Questing recommendations: enable RuneLite Quest Helper in your RuneLite plugin section, hold your space bar to skip through NPC dialog, and use number keys for chatting dialog. 

Time to complete: Doric's quest can be completed within a minute and in seconds if you have the ores beforehand.

All these items can be bought directly from the Grand Exchange or from the Dwarven mine.

Obtaining the Required Items on Ironman

Clay can be mined from clay rocks at the Varrock southwest mine, while copper and iron ores can be mined from their respective rocks in the Varrock southeast mine.

Alternatively, the ores can be mined from Dwarven mine, near Doric's house. The iron, copper, tin, and clay rocks are located south of the entrance. Ironmen can kill Dwarves outside the Dwarven mine or pickpocket H.A.M members to get iron ores without 15 mining.

Walkthrough of Doric's Quest

• It's best you bring all required ores when starting so you don't have to make additional trips back to Doric. Make sure to bring all of these at once, as Doric requires them in a single trip (12 inventory slots). It doesn’t matter where you get the ores—they can be mined yourself or obtained from other players. Keep in mind that mining iron ore requires at least 15 Mining.
• Doric can be found in a small building at the crossroads north of Falador, just east of the Taverley gate and south of the Goblin Village. Talk to Doric and ask if you can use his whetstone or anvil. He’ll explain that he needs some materials to make pickaxes and will give you a bronze pickaxe to help. You’ll need to collect the following items: 6 clay, 4 copper ores, and 2 iron ores.

• Once you’ve collected all the required ores, return to Doric. He will thank you, give your rewards, and grant you access to his anvils anytime.

Completing Doric’s Quest is required for Devious Minds and the Easy tier of the Falador Diary. If you start the quest with 1 Mining, the 1,300 Mining XP reward is enough to raise you directly to level 10 Mining.
