OSRS Granite Maul Pure Guide: Quests & Training

OSRS Granite Maul Pure Guide: Quests & Training

Building a Granite Maul Pure stats can vary, but most are characterized by having only 50 attack, 1 defense, 1 prayer, 99 ranged, 99 strength, and Magic between 85 and 99 depending on whether you only want to use Arceus's spells for occasional extra damage and a higher chance to Smite your opponent, or 99 to PK with mage cape and use Fire Surge as your main attack. Some accounts opt for a higher attack, for example, 60 or 75. If you are interested in building a higher-level pure, check out our OSRS 1 Defence Pure Account Guide

If you are not interested in training and want to jump right into the action your can also check out our OSRS Granite Maul Pure Accounts that we have for sale.

The Ideal GMaul Pure

Below, we'll show the ideal stats and unique items that an account like this requires. Although some choose to PK before leveling up certain skills—for example, starting at 80 Strength instead of 99—this means there aren't any single ideal stats. Some prefer fighting in low combat, while others want to focus on the experience of watching big hits and massive combos by training for many hours before starting to fight with others.

  • Attack: 50.
  • Strength: 99.
  • Defence: 1.
  • Ranged: 99.
  • Magic: 85-99.(depending on your needs)
  • Prayer: 1-52 (lower prayer means lower combat)
  • Hitpoints: 70+ (You need enough to survive a high DPS combo).
  • Any Halo (Castle Wars Tickets)
  • Decorative Armour (Castle Wars Tickets)
  • Horror From the Deep (God Books)
  • Animal Magnetims (Ava’s)
  • No Prayer Firecape. Check out our no prayer firecape service, since this is very hard to obtain.
  • Infernal Cape (If 44-52 Prayer) find our infernal cape service here.
  • Desert Treasure 2 (Ultor Ring) optional
  • Barrel Chest Anchor: The standard Barrelchest Anchor requires 60 Attack to wield. However, the Barrelchest Anchor (bh)—the one obtained with Bounty Hunter points—only requires 50 Attack.

Additionally, if you want to put in more effort to get more KO potential

Leveling up all your skills and completing quests for this build can take hundreds of hours. If you'd like to skip all the hard work, our professional team can help. You can order our Services here.

Essential Questing Order

To build a "perfect" account, before increasing stats, we need to complete the required quests. This will prevent us from overtraining and ending up with (for example) 51 attack. Otherwise, the account would lose respect, not to mention the unnecessary increase in combat level, which would force us to fight opponents much harder than our current level.

When starting out on questing, I highly recommend training magic with splashing spells first, as most quest bosses are safe-spotables, which will save you a lot of time and make the job ten times easier. Later, we'll look at more ways to train magic in detail.

Splashing/Alching: You can alch while splashing for better EXP per hour in magic and reach level 85 as quickly as possible (without burst).

Once we have at least 40-50 Magic, we can continue with our quest grind:

Follow this order to reach 45-48 Attack only through quests

  1. Waterfall Quest: 13,750 Attack & Strength XP. (Do this at Level 3!)
  2. Vampire Slayer: 4,825 Attack XP.
  3. Tree Gnome Village: 11,450 Attack XP.
  4. Fight Arena: 12,175 Attack XP.
  5. The Grand Tree: 18,400 Attack XP.
  6. Death Plateau: 3,000 Attack XP (Plus access to Climbing Boots).

Halo & Decorative Armour

These 2 items are the best slot you can use on a Granite Maul Pure Account and are very easy to obtain. The Halo and Decorative Armor cost a total of 115 Castle Wars tickets, which you can get in the Castle Wars minigame, of course.

You can play in two ways: the traditional way in the official 334 world, or with an alternate account to guarantee winning every game (3 tickets for a win, 1 ticket for a draw, and 0 tickets for a loss). As expected, we also offer Castle Wars Minigame Services where our staff can do this for you. This can be tedious work, and that's where we come in.

And congratulations, you have the best slot in head and body for Granite Maul Pure Accounts.

Now we will proceed to increase the main stats for this build, which are:

Granite Maul Pure training

Ranged Training

We can do the Dwarf Cannon quest and level up Ranged without worrying about NPCs attacking us (using safespot) or we can go to Sand Crabs with food, being careful to not die.

  • Levels 1-45: Sand Crabs or Cannon using Mithril/Adamant darts.

  • Levels 45-99: Chinning. Head to the Monkey Madness 1 tunnels. Here will get you over 200k-500k XP per hour. You'll hit 99 in just a few days of heavy grinding.

Strength Training

  • Method: Gemstone Crab at Varlamore. This requires a 5 minute Children of Sun Quest; It's highly suggested to do it. Make sure to bring super potions for higher EXP per hour. The Crab has zero defense and doesnt attack back, making them the ultimate AFK training spot for a 1 Defense pure

Magic Training

Training Magic is easy; you can simply use the splash or alch (or both at the same time) method until you reach level 85. There's always the option to train Magic faster by completing Monkey Madness 1 and Desert Treasure 1 and going for Bursting at MM1 caves but it's very time-consuming and takes a lot of effort. All you need is Magic level 85 for this account build (which doesn't take long) to PK in this setup with Greater Corruption and Mark of Darkness, spells from the Arceus Spellbook.

  • Splashing/Alching: You can alch while splashing for better EXP per hour in magic and reach level 85 as quickly as possible (without burst).
  • Bursting: If you decide to unlock Ice Burst/Barrage, go to the Maniacal Monkeys at MM1 cave.

Once we reach 85 Magic, we can go switch our spellbooks and start using the new Arceuuus Spells that we'll be using while PKing with this specific account, which are called:

Greater Corruption & Mark of Darkness (Optional)

To use these two spells that will help you in PvP, you need to have completed the Kingdom Divided questline. This questline requires several stats and pre-quests to begin. Some believe it's better to skip this part out of laziness or because it's not a very short path, and it doesn't really make a high difference.

  • Greater Corruption: When cast, it basically drains your opponent's prayer points over time, making it easier for you to Smie them.

  • Mark of Darkness: Corruption spells will always inflict corruption on your next successful hit, up to a 50% chance.

The Ornate Maul Handle

A Granite Maul is good, but it only lets you use one Special Attack at a time, since it normally consumes 60% of your Special Attack.

But with the new item Jagex added to the game, we can upgrade our Granite Maul to an Ornate Granite Maul by using an Ornate Maul Handle (new item) on any Granite Maul. This allows us to use two Special Attacks instead of one, as it only uses 50% of its Special Attack. This makes it almost indispensable for this account build, although to start practicing, you can use the Granite Maul alone to avoid risking too much GP and to save your Light Ballista.

Account Ready to PK!

Once you have:

  • Attack: 50.
  • Strength: 99.
  • Defence: 1.
  • Ranged: 99.
  • Magic: 85-99.(depending on your needs)
  • Prayer: 1-52 (lower prayer means lower combat)
  • Hitpoints: 70+ (You need enough to survive a high DPS combo).
  • Any Halo (Castle Wars Tickets)
  • Decorative Armour (Castle Wars Tickets)
  • Horror From the Deep (God Books)
  • Animal Magnetims (Ava’s)
  • No Prayer Firecape. Check out our no prayer firecape service, since this is very hard to obtain.
  • Infernal Cape (If 44-52 Prayer) find our infernal cape service here.
  • Desert Treasure 2 (Ultor Ring) optional
  • Barrel Chest Anchor: The standard Barrelchest Anchor requires 60 Attack to wield. However, the Barrelchest Anchor (bh)—the one obtained with Bounty Hunter points—only requires 50 Attack.

We're almost ready to jump into Bounty Hunter or PvP, all that's left is to choose an outfit that fits your budget. If you want to buy gold safely, you can do so through our Livechat on our website.

Ranged will be primarily used in the encounters. This particular build features Dragon Knives as the main attack, followed by Light Ballista with their respective javelins, and the Ornite Granite Maul as the final Special Attack. These accounts are specifically designed for PKing (Player Killing), as they are not optimal for PvM. If you are a beginner and want to Learn How to PK, you can check out this guide.
